A Tapestry of Terror
While each story could stand on its own; together they make a powerful tome.Ranging from humorous to dramatic they are all woven together by a central theme - Sha Daa.Taken at face value the title states "Tales of the Apocalypse."It is much more, however, as the horror is tempered with hope.This is a book that will give hours of enjoyment.

This is a very well written collection of stories that link one to another. I enjoyed every moment I spent reading it.From start to finish this book will grab your attention and keep you wanting to see what happens on the next page. No matter what your taste in books may be this one will be a very enjoyable adventure. I for one can not wait for the next book to come out.

Can't put it down
When you pick up this fascinating collection, be sure you have some time to devote to it because for sure you are going to have a hard time putting it down. Sha'daa represents the work of a group of authors, making for an interesting mix of styles and approaches, but all the writers work together on a shared theme. The theme is, the world might be ending! The only thing that can stop it is if a group of totally disparate people, each working in his or her own way, manage to...well, you get the idea. It was a fast-paced read, from start to end, and I for one hated to see it end. Maybe there will be a sequel?

The idea of one turns to many
This book is unlike any other i have read before.All of the authors stories work extremely well together, along with all the short stories tied together.It provides serious, yet entertaining tales that are good for every reader. The characters are very strange, but they are all explained, and you get a sense of "i know that guy"

Creative, masterful story shared by many, created by one
This book is a masterful creation, put together by several authors, but one author being the driving force in something called a 'shared-world anthology'. I liked this book, it was very creative, and the stories flowed quite well, tying into each other in a very interesting way. The character of the Salesman begins as creepy and mysterious and then ends as someone who you go, "Hey I see where this guy is coming from.." and "okay so THAT'S what happened" kind of thing. War in Darfur and the Search for Peace is a series of essays by leading Sudanese and international specialists on Darfur, combining original research and analysis. The book provides in-depth analysis of the origins and dimensions of the conflict, including detailed accounts of the evolution of ethnic and religious identities, the breakdown of local administration, the emergence of Arab militia and resistance movements, and regional dimensions to the conflict.

The study also focuses on the search for peace, with contributions by those most closely engaged in local and international efforts to resolve the conflict. This includes documentation and analysis of the warring parties' ideologies and agendas and how they have changed in the course of the conflict, and examination of the efforts made by Sudanese civil and political leaders, the African Union, and other international actors to bring the war to an end.

The most important book on the Darfur conflict
"War in Darfur and the Search for Peace" is by far the best book on the current conflict in Darfur. One of the reasons for this is the fact that the contributors are not only Westerners, but also Sudanese and Darfurians. The contributions cover all the important issues about the roots of the Darfur conflict and the prospects for peace.

I hope those who want to understand the Darfur conflict read this book.

This important book rbings together the scholarship of many authors to offer insight into all facets of the Darfur conflict and its history and why the world should have paid attention sooner.One of the greatest human crises of the first decade of the 21st century, Darfur is the latest genocide to follow on the heels of Rwanda and Cambodia, in which the West did nothing to prevent the same genocide everyone declared would never happen againa fter the Holocaust.

Instead 200,000-400,000 are dead and a million are refugees and neighboring states from Chad to the Central African Republic are being torn asunder by the conflict which pits the genocidal Janjaweed Arab militias against the poor African people of Darfur.This is not a war over religion, although the history shows that the Arab Muslims who invaded Sudan in the 8th century have long considered the black muslims as inferior as as 'abd' or slaves.It is not truly about resources, as Ban Ki Moon has said.It is, in fact, a well coordinated, government supported genocide.
