Best of Coolidge?
This could be Coolidge's best book.I have owned a copy of it for years and have read it many times.Coolidge's ear for language is unique, and the high-point of his work (for me) are the series of books he wrote in the 1970s and 1980s. ... Read more

The Way Time Feels on Metal

A Son of Providence
The poet Clark Coolidge returns to his place of birth with a mastery of narrative style in poetry/prose that has always intrigued this reviewer. What he leaves out by adroit word absence makes Providence a mystery even for this native. I believe another story lies beneath the surface of the poet's Providence obsession.
