You MUST read this book!!!!
This is a delightful book chockful of awful puns, skies literally dripping live poultry (at points during the book, it rains canaries, sea gulls, and cranes, amongst other birds), ferocious, vicious, merciless pirates whojust happen to be fluffy, cuddly sheep as well, a sarcastic, drunk cat,dragons, fairies, kings both evil and good, and stupid guards.Who couldask for more?I couldn't, and that's for sure!I saw this book andimmediately snatched it up, afraid someone else would get it if I didn't! Asimov On Heinlein
I particularly liked this issue of the digest size sci-fi pulp because in his editorial, Isaac Asimov discusses my favorite author the late Robert A. Heinlein's book Grumbles From The Grave.Here's a brief quote: "I was astonished at the trouble that Heinlein seemed to have in connection with money and with the efforts of editors to force him to revise his novels.As the universally acknowledged master of the art of science fiction writing, it seemed to me that he should have had trouble in neither direction..."Of course there are also good stories by Charles Sheffield and others. ...
