Enjoyable Read!
I found this book fascinating!I was surprised that Engelbert revealed so many personal parts of his life.It was more like reading one side of a conversation.This book was published in the Great Britian in 2004 and no longer available.However, you can find a copy in some used book stores.

An entertaining book about a great entertainer.
I consider myself one of Engelbert's biggest fans, I have 8 of his albums, a lifesize Engelbert cardboard cut-out and I am a member of his fan club.

It was an awe inspiring piece to read, becuse of Don Short'sentertaining writing style.I laughed for hours at his funny annecdoteabout meating Clive James in Moscow and stealing his pants while he was inthe sauna.

I recommend this to any of Engelbert's millions of fans andanyone who want to know what he eats for breakfast (it's Lucky Charms, nowyou don't have to read the book if that's all you wanted to know) ... Read more

Horrible Translation!
If you are looking for a more accurate translation, this edition is not for you!

Words not always used
The words in this score and not what is generally used in recordings at major opera companies. The words tend to be more kid friendly, not too scarey. Sometimes the vowel sounds on higher notes are not the best choice for singers. The piano in most sections is well filled in but difficult. In some of the barer sections it is rather scarce and leaves the singer unsupported in some instances. Still it is singable and widely used by smaller companies.

Very satisfied!
This was exactly what I was looking for...a beautiful piano score with English parts.The condition was excellent/new.

Where is the Original Text???
An ordinary DOVER Editions Vocal Score, but.... there is NO original German Text... Only the English translation...
The description says: "This authoritative vocal score contains a complete piano reduction of the score and an English singing translation of the text"
I find this to be unclear as to whether or not there is (as in many other scores) both the Original text and Translation... ... Read more
