From the supplier: The Uniform Interstate Family Support Act 1992 (UNIFSA) has been implemented by 8 states and introduced by a further 13. It replaces the Uniform Reciprocal Enforcement of Support Act implemented in the 60s. UNIFSA's reforms embrace the changing pattern of domesticity. Over 10 million children come from single parent families. UNIFSA transcends common state boundaries by requiring that 1 court only has jurisdiction which deals with the enforcment action and petitions. It encourages enforcement agencies to refer to its measures and above all provides uniformity.
