Extractions: Research Goals In order to understand the computational mechanisms of the brain, it is essential to combine multiple approaches at different levels, such as the levels of computation, representation, and implementation. The goal of the Computational Neurobiology Group is to develop computational theories of learning, to analyze neurobiological and behavioral data, and to bridge together the knowledge from studies at different levels by way of computer simulations and model-driven experiments. We focus on the dynamic mechanisms of learning in the cerebellum, the basal ganglia, and the cerebral cortex and the global organization principles of integrating those learning mechanisms as a goal-directed adaptive system. Get A Passport To The Internet jpp does have some drawbacks. IntRprise is made up of several visualtools, each designed for a portion of the development task. http://www.informationweek.com/656/56iupas.htm
Extractions: November 10, 1997 Passport IntRprise 1.1 is a RAD tool for multitier, enterprise development By Jay Tyo evelopers looking to build large-scale applications that span many databases and platforms and hundreds of users may have a tough time finding the right tool for the job. Many of the popular personal and client-server tools are based on a two-tier architecture and don't scale well to more complex environments. Building an enterprise application for both the client-server and Internet worlds makes finding the right tool even more difficult. Passport Corp.'s Passport IntRprise 1.1 is a multitier and Internet-capable application-development tool that should meet your needs. Passport IntRprise is built on top of Passport's object-oriented fourth-generation language (4GL), called Passport. That language is built on top of C. IntRprise supports all of the most popular relational databases, graphical user interface-based rapid application development (RAD), message-oriented middleware (MOM), and team development; it lets users take an application written for one platform and port it to another platform, including the Internet, by relinking it with the appropriate libraries. With these features, its price tag of almost $9,000 per developer seat, and run-time charges for the MOM, IntRprise is clearly targeted at the enterprise development tool market. First-generation Web applications sent HTML pages across the World Wide Web to browsers. This is great technology for displaying static information, but falls short for serious Internet applications. HTML applications tend to be heavy network users, although they offer little interactivity. The second generation of Web applications downloads Java applets to Web browsers. This works great for small applications, but when the applications are large, download times can be prohibitive. And since Java is an interpreted language, application processing is slower than for apps written with compiled la nguages.

Extractions: Please note this section of our web-site is updated regularly so make sure you come back! Process Control Applications Our universal process control instruments allow for the connection of most industry standard sensors and offer a selection of outputs which include analogue, multi set points, digital and communications control, giving the user maximum choice in systems design. Flexibility is further enhanced by the choice of instrument mounting - panel mount, surface/wall-mount, rack mount and Eurocard for DIN rail mounting. World-wide, our customers are using the process instruments in many industry sectors, including the major utilities such as the gas industry, where it is essential to maintain high degrees of gas temperature accuracy; water companies where for example, tight and consistent control of pH tolerances in water treatment is vital; and electricity generators, where the measurement of consumption and Kilo Watt hours is necessary. General industrial applications include the food, chemical, oil, steel, automotive, aerospace and agricultural industries.

Extractions: A bit of info for those who may be interested! While I am mainly interested in collecting Japanese manufactured cards, I am not opposed to obtaining those made in Hong Kong. For those of you who don't know, Bandai licensed both Hong Kong and France to make "Official" products. They are not "cheap rip offs" as I have seen them described. It is more a case of the original series and a reprint from another country. Think in terms of Ice Cream. There are several different brands of ice cream. If Carnation made a special "dbz" ice cream in the US and then decided several years later to license someone in Hong Kong and France to manufacture that same "dbz" ice cream using their "Carnation" label, would that make it a "cheap rip off"? Think about it. While I would like to finish off my Japanese collection, I certainly have no problem building my HK collection if the opportunity arises. FOR MORE INFO ON HK CARDS AND SOME SCANS
