Customer Reviews Average Rating: 5 stars out of 5 (1 reviews submitted) Rhythmic and melodic spontaneity This is Axiom of Choice's first project. It is at once accessible, and captures unique vocal expression and exciting rhythmic integrity. In many ways it is quite different from their second more popular effort, "Niya Yesh", but in my opinion shares an overall equal rating. "Beyond Denial" unfortunately does not have Greg Ellis (of Vas) on percussion in the later work, but has some innovative drumming sequences by Steven Graham. There is admittedly quite a bit of experimentation here with an assortment of middle-eastern instruments used with abundant technique and expression. In all a splendid work that shouldn't be missed by any devotee of expressive, dynamic, eastern music that is both challenging and coherent. | |
