The reason that the body doesn't produce the melanin is because the metabolism of the amino acid tyrosine is unable to convert the tyrosine into melanin. This process occurs naturally in a person without albinism. Albinism can be inherited in three different ways, these are X-linked, autosomal recessive, or autosomal dominant. Complete albinism or tyrosinase-negative oculationeous albinism is the total absence of pigment from the skin, hair, and eyes. This is the most severe form of albinism. People with this form have white hair, red irisis, vision defects, and colorless skin. They also have photophobia , meaning sunlight is painful to their eyes, they don't tan, and sunburn easily.
