Extractions: My current position is within the Section of Plastic Surgery.The Section consists of two plastic surgeons and four residents and provides a comprehensive accredited training program within the realms of University Hospital, Veterans Hospital, Childrens Hospital of Oklahoma and Presbyterian Hospital. My predominant interests have been in the field of Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery and microvascular surgery. Although a cleft lip and palate team has been providing a comprehensive care for the last 18 years, the Craniofacial team is expanding to provide a comprehensive care to the children within the state of Oklahoma. The position also involves providing microvascular support to the Head and Neck service, Breast Cancer Institute and the Trauma Center. The Health Science Center also has excellent research facilities with a full time animal laboratory and access to grants available to commence research. The position involves an active role in organization of resident education and training during their two year tenure including weekly lectures, monthly journal clubs and biannual mock board examination and evaluation.
