Efter min mening burde vi for lang tid siden være nået til en almindelig accepteret holdning, hvor det er legitimt, at betragte forløbet i en "kultur-betinget depression" på samme naturlige måde som vi betragter en influenza. Begge dele opstår på basis af ikke særligt håndfaste og synlige årsager. Kun den enkelte kan føle på egen krop, om der er noget der begynder at gå i u-du, hvor alvorligt det er, og om det er nok med egen pleje eller om der er brug for professionel hjælp.
