5-0 out of 5 stars It saved my life.
I have absolutely no breathing problems anymore. The greatest, is I'm not allergic to horses anymore! A true miracle! I have no allergies any more.Thank God for Wild Oregano Oil!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is the answer
I have read many books and tried many things, but this is it!A great book and I follow it.It has saved me!I used to get so many respiratory illnesses, and now I do not.It did take a little bit for my immune system to get on board but it did.Thank you Cass Ingram!!I have purchased the whole line of p73 and the juice. It was and is the best money I have spent!! I have told anyone who will listen. My doctor even wrote it down himself and wants to give it a try. That says it all.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Respiratory Solution - Fantastic Book
I have had asthma for over 20 years.I have used recommendations from this book with much success. This is the best book I have ever seen on the respiratory system - and I have been looking for good books on it for 20 years!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Book, Genius Author!!!!!!
I love this book!!!!!It is extremely informative and has helped our family's health problems immensely.I love the Oregano products recommended in this book. They WORK!!!!My child's asthma has completely disappeared, and my chronic sinus infections are gone. No more antibiotics every few weeks for me because of sinus infections.I can't tell you how relieved I am as a mother, to no longer have to worry about my child having a full blown asthma attack and needing nebulizer treatments every few hours every time he has a cold. Dr. Ingram is a hero to our family.

5-0 out of 5 stars Thankful for Dr. Cass Ingram
Having just read the review of July 8, 2005 relating to a press release from 2003, it boosts my trust of Dr. Ingram's very informative books. The American Medical Association would like to see Dr. Ingram and many others like him "go away".We're sort of at the crossroads right now where our liberty to buy natural products (such as Oil of Oregano and Oregacyn, etc.) could be taken away, and we would need a prescription to purchase such items.

Cancer is a multi-billion dollar business in this country.Could that be why the AMA is fighting so hard to get the natural food industry under their thumb?I wish I had known about Oil of Oregano, Oregacyn and Juice of Oregano 8 years ago when my sister learned she had lung cancer. She died 8 months later.

Oil of Oregano has pulled me through sinus problems and colds and a weakness that tends towards respiratory problems. His books with suggested solutions are priceless. Thanks to Dr. Ingram for the sacrifices he has had to make to get this valuable information to us.He is to be honored. ... What a delightful, well written and illustrated, colorful, book for our "little folks" that have asthma. Also found it to be enjoyable to kids without asthma.A great learning and teaching tool to help, children, parents or just about anyone understand this sometimes misunderstood chronic illness.Recommended for anyone who has or knows or just wants to find out about asthma.

5-0 out of 5 stars Especially recommended for young children who have asthma
Zoey And The Zones: A Story For Children With Asthma is a picturebook collaboratively written by Shawn McCormick and Ginny Trevino for the purpose of introducing young children to the reality of asthma, the precautions that asthmatic people have to take, and to knowing that asthma doesn't have to be an obstacle to a happy and healthy life. The charming color illustrations by Nathan Schmidt of a young car diagnosed with asthma and his stoplight buddy bring to life this story about the importance of seeing the doctor, carefully following a treatment, and remembering to enjoy fun things. Zoey And The Zones is especially recommended for young children who have asthma, or who have friends with asthma. Also highly recommended is the Zoey And The Zones Companion Workbook For Parents Of Children With Asthma (0971812012,...)

This volume provides a state-of-the-art account of the identification of new targets and the development of new therapies for these conditions. Some 40 chapters by clinical academics and senior members of the pharmaceutical industry detail the latest breakthroughs in research and development. There have also been major advances in our understanding of innate immune responses to pathogen-associated molecular patterns, and in the area of Toll-like receptors. Up to date and comprehensive, this book will be of particular relevance to those working in the pharmaceutical industry (in preclinical research and clinical development), to academic researchers in the field of respiratory medicine, and to respiratory health care specialists. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Best childhood asthma book out there.
Excellent and perhaps the best resource out there for any parent with a child that suffers from asthma.Dr. Rachelfsky very clearly outlines everything that you may want to know, and even takes away a lot of the mystery from the myriad treatments for asthma.

Written in plain language, the book leaves you with plenty of detail but never leaves you confused.

After reading through the book, you will better understand what asthma is, how it's treated, and more importantly make you able to work WITH your doctor and ask better questions.

You'll also be able to decide if your doctor is providing the best care available.

Overall, this is a must-have book if your child has asthma... and after reading it, you'll belive that you can control asthma and asthma doesn't need to control you! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars More Exercises Needed! - But Great Information
Although this book was not what I had expected it to be (i.e. a detailed book
with many pages devoted to breathing exercises e.g. paced breathing techniques etc)
I did not regret the purchase, in fact I was very impressed.

The reason why I rate this work so highly is because it offers a fresh perspective on
dealing with so called psychosomatic/psychophysiological ailments e.g. panic attacks, phobias
includingheadaches, migranes, hyperventilating, gasping for breath, Raynaud's condtions,
cold hands etc. The idea that irregular breathing patterns are at the heart of most disorders, although not surprising, is explained extremely well in terms of acid-base levels in the blood.

The primary topic dicussed in this book is hyperventilation. And as an Asthma sufferer I did
not think this work would be useful to me (since I usually struggle to get any air let alone overbreathe!), but I was very wrong!! This book was a great buy, because I now understand
the driving factors for my breathing difficulties from a scientific point of view.
    i.e. inhale/exhale ratios, CO2 levels, warms/cold hands etc.

I only have 2 criticisms, the last chapter about Music and Breathing seemed a little out
of place and mostly irrelevent. And secondly there isnt much on breathing techniques,
the only thing that is covered is deep diaphragmatic breathing (whist in the sitting position)
    - which is great if thats all you want!

    5 stars for information/nutrition/theory content
2 stars for practical exercises with deep breathing

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your money this book is a fraud
I buy many books, never before gave up reading a book just within 30 minutes of browsing through various chapters looking for substance. I'm a person who has recovered from major depression which also entailed daily anxiety attacks and hyperventilation. I overcame my affliction by sheer will power through enormous love that I felt for my family and myself. I did that through redirecting my energy to change the things that I didn't like in my life. I also accomplished that through drastic change in my diet and through daily exercise for the last ten years. I was looking for a book to teach me better breathing, because by nature I'm a person who gets to excited in reaction to anything. This is a guy who one day decided to write a book by exploiting the most obvious things. The book is made of many anecdotes and repetition of many facts most people already know. Never before did I wish to return a book and ask for a refund. This time I do. This book will not go into my library, but it will go where my daily junk mail goes, the trash. .

4-0 out of 5 stars A good interdisciplinary book
This book is good because it emphasizes breathing techniques to attenuate stress-induced conditions (ex. Asthma, Anxiety). But again, as with most stress books, it falls short on recommending proper nutritional supplementation. Most Asthma books don't recommend any holistic/herbal remedies; they only recommend pharmaceutical drugs. A few Asthma books like these do recommend natural remedies, but these remedies are often unproven, and can be dangerous if mixed with other drugs/alcohol. I am really disappointed in all Asthma books in general, because they most often do not recommend the three most important ORTHOMOLECULAR Asthma remedies: Calcium, Magnesium, and Vitamin C. Calcium is simply there to balance magnesium and to chelate with ascorbate (vitamin C) to make calcium ascorbate. Magnesium relaxes lungs and improves air flow. Last and certainly not least, vitamin C has potent antihistamine effects via inhibiton of mast cell degranulation, and also has bronchodilator effects via inhibition of phosphodiesterase. Taking several grams
a day of vitamin C (preferably buffered calcium ascorbate), along with some magnesium may completely inhibit mild asthma, and should significantly help moderate to severe asthma, with no known drug interactions (except perhaps with Theophylline, which inhibits the same phosphodiesterase enzyme that vitamin C does). These three natural supplements also play very important roles in maintaining mental health. This information is referenced in the Allergies/Asthma chapter and Chronic Mental Illnesses Part of my book "The Failures of American Medicine", available here at Amazon...

5-0 out of 5 stars Basic, Easy to Read Golden info, From A World Expert
There are a lot of books on breathing. This is probably the only one aimed at laymen that has been written by a world class respiratory psychophysiologist who has written numerous professional texts on various aspects of respiration.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great book with practical info that DOES work!
After learning the author's breathing techniques, I have been able to relax more and get to the heart of my symptoms.Easy to follow and comprehend. No outer-worldly stuff here, just factual informationregarding how breathing correctly will eliminate many of the stresses inyour life.I highly recommend this book! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars A great book in all ways but...one...
This book was unremarkable compared to the 10-12 others I have read regarding the subject of asthma. All are good, but all fall short in one respect: their recommendations (or lack of reccomendations) on natural treatments for Asthma.
This information is referenced in the Allergies/Asthma chapter of my book "The Failures of American Medicine", available here at Amazon.com... ... Read more
