Getting to know more about ADHD
If you want to know more about ADHD you will with this book and you will keep it in your library.This book does a great job in explaining different profiles or characteristics of an ADHD individual.I highly recommend this book you will not find his view in any other ADHD book.It is unfortunate that more books are not written on the subject with this type of effort.Until we do an ADHD will continue to be stuck with one type of label. ... Short and concise
Because it's written by an MD and written for parents plus professionals, you'll find a
little bit better advice than most sources. Chapters cover general information, causes,
"looks like ADD but isn't", learning disabilities, perceptual motor difficulties, mood,
evaluating ADD children, treatment, drugs, and management techniques. Its short and
concise. You won't waste a lot of time reading through tech stuff OR fluff stuff.

Excellent Insight into the Mind of an ADD Child
This book brings great understanding of the person with ADD.You don't realize the difficult time these people go through just to function on a day to day basis.The author, first of all,describes the symptoms so youknow what is a part of the syndrome and what isn't.He then discusses theimpact of the ADD syndrome on learning and self image.He even gets intothe things that the ADD student will say and why they are saying it.Ithelped me to understand some things that have really baffled me about myADD son.Being able for a moment to stand in his shoes has changed mywhole view at a time when both the teachers and my husband and I have beenon the edge of giving up.I highly recommend this book to anyone dealingwith an ADD child or an adult. ...
