A Great Resource on Communications Disorders
Dr. Lue's book, A Survey of Communications Disorders for the Classroom Teacher was an excellent book and resource.I used it for my master's level class, Teaching Written and Spoken Language and it was very useful.In addition, to helping me to better understand language acquisition, I also learned alot about language disorders.Further, the book goes into sufficient detail that it does not presume a certain level of background knowledge needed to successfully use the book.I have added this book to my personal library and would highly recommend it, especially to Special Educators, but a great resource for all educators. ... Understanding Family Syndrome
My husband's family has Waardenburgs running through it. My husband is deaf in his left ear, has been since birth. One of his brothers does also. In the next generation two have it - one boy unilaterally deaf, and one girl without deafness. Recently my grandchild was born and we feared she was totally deaf. This is the first book that I am aware of on Waardenburg's. The other info I got from NORD (National Org for Rare Diseases). This book is written for doctors, mostly about hearing diagnoses. Wonderful TX resource for TBI and right CVA patients
This is a wonderful resource for clinician's, especially those that may NOT be used to working with TBI, right CVA and the higher level dysfunctions. It has exercises, compensatory strategies for both the patient, and suggestions for the patient.I've used it for years.

Excellent therapy tool for higher level cognition
I work at a outpatient head injury rehab facility and deal mainly with higher level cognition such as attention, problem solving, and memory.It is very difficult to find materials and I used to make up my own.Thisbook has allowed me to free up alot of the time I used producing my ownmaterials.It is a terrific book and a great asset.One other therapistin my facility has bought the book and our student affiliate has takengreat interest in it.Great job at making such a useful tool!
