Excerpt:Promotional art for Anarky vol. 2, #1 (May 1999) by Norm Breyfogle . Anarky (Lonnie Machin ) is a fictional character in the DC Comics Universe . Co-created by Alan Grant and Norm Breyfogle , he first appeared in Detective Comics #608 (November 1989) as an adversary of Batman . Stories revolving around Anarky often focus on political and philosophical themes. The character, who was named after the philosophy of anarchism , primarily espouses anti-statism . When Grant himself transitioned to the philosophy of Neo-Tech , he transformed Anarky from a vehicle for socialist and populist philosophy, to rationalist , atheist , and free market -based thought. Grant avoided using the character often, but addressed multiple issues whenever the character appeared, including environmentalism, antimilitarism , economic exploitation, and political corruption . Inspired by multiple sources, early stories featuring the character often included homages to political and philosophical books. The creation of the character was also partially influenc... ... Product Description
This study covers the latent demand outlook for poison ivy and oak extracts and other allergenic extracts for human use excluding diagnostic allergens across the regions of Greater China, including provinces, autonomous regions (Guangxi, Nei Mongol, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Xizang - Tibet), municipalities (Beijing, Chongqing, Shanghai, and Tianjin), special administrative regions (Hong Kong and Macau), and Taiwan (all hereafter referred to as “regions”). Latent demand (in millions of U.S. dollars), or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.) estimates are given across some 1,100 cities in Greater China. For each major city in question, the percent share the city is of the region and of Greater China is reported. Each major city is defined as an area of “economic population”, as opposed to the demographic population within a legal geographic boundary. For many cities, the economic population is much larger that the population within the city limits; this is especially true for the cities of the Western regions. For the coastal regions, cities which are close to other major cities or which represent, by themselves, a high percent of the regional population, actual city-level population is closer to the economic population (e.g. in Beijing). Based on this “economic” definition of population, comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a city’s marketing and distribution value vis-à-vis others. This exercise is quite useful for persons setting up distribution centers or sales force strategies. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each region and city of influence, latent demand estimates are created for poison ivy and oak extracts and other allergenic extracts for human use excluding diagnostic allergens. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved. ... Read more

Excerpt: The Silver Surfer is a Marvel Comics superhero created by Jack Kirby. The character first appears in Fantastic Four #48 (March 1966), the first of a three-issue arc that fans call "The Galactus Trilogy". Originally, Norrin Radd, a young astronomer of the planet Zenn-La, made a bargain with the cosmic entity Galactus, pledging to serve as his herald in order to save his homeworld from destruction. Imbued in return with a tiny portion of Galactus' Power Cosmic, Radd acquired great powers and a new version of his original appearance. Galactus also created for Radd a surfboard-like craft modeled after a childhood fantasy of his on which he would travel at speeds beyond that of light. Known from then on as the Silver Surfer, Radd began to roam the cosmos searching for new planets for Galactus to consume. When his travels finally took him to Earth, the Surfer came face-to-face with the Fantastic Four, a team of powerful superheroes that helped him t...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=29534 ... Product Description
A 23-year-old man presented with a 7-day history of an extremely pruritic rash on his hands, arms, lower legs, and penis. The patient had been hiking in a wooded area shortly before onset of the rash. Twenty-four hours after the rash appeared, he presented at the emergency department, where allergic contact dermatitis was diagnosed. The patient was treated with a prepackaged systemic glucocorticoid containing methylprednisolone, tapered over 6 days per standard instructions. The condition initially improved, but itching recurred on the fifth day of treatment. Vesiculation and rashing flared to the pretreatment level the day after therapy was discontinued (figure 1). The patient reported no further contact that suggested reexposure to Rhus antigen and specifically had no contact with contaminated clothing. ... Read more

Excerpt: Go Go Smear the Poison Ivy is an album by the Icelandic group múm. It was released on the Fat Cat label on 24 September 2007. The album marks a shift from the group's original style as it uses more live instruments than electronics, and there is a different vocal style, including male vocals. Almost two years prior to the release of this album, former lead singer of múm, Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir, departed from the band. According to reviews this is believed to be one reason for the break of style compared to earlier releases. The seventh song is listed as "Rhubarbidoo" in the album liner notes, while it is named "Rhuubarbidoo" on the "Marmalade Fires" single. ...http://booksllc.net/?id=12202059 ... Read more
