Too technical
I buyed this book wishing for advices on a skin disease I have. I am no a physician, and I found little use on the text. Its too much technical.
Maybe its valuable for somebody with a medicine degree.

Good information--not so good index
While the information contained in the book is very helpful, getting tothe information itself is another story.For example, I looked up"bump"--nothing; "red patch"--nothing, nothing under"red" and nothing under "patch."I wish they wouldhave done a better job cross-referencing their index to make it easier tofind what you need. ... the book is informative, it shows pictures of different skin diseases and it also include treatment for the skin disease.

very good and practical
Although it does not cover everything but covers most common diseases. Book is in two sections, first section for the physician to diagnose the disoeder, brief etiology and some differential diagnosis followed by remedies. Author gives a lot of practical advices and things to watch for.
Second part is some sort of information sheet that you may want to give the patient for their use.
There are some pictures but not for each situation. Picture quality is not that great. I find the practical information and do's don't s were very good. ... Read more

Great book but BEWARE
So the book itself is a great book.Perfect for what you need to know as a med student for derm.Very comprehensive and great pictures.
BUT, the book literally fell to pieces. Chunks of pages were falling out. This happened the first night we had to read it, so its not just from wear and tear.This happened to over half of the students of my class.DO NOT buy the book online.We contacted the manufacturer and they refunded the students that got the book from the bookstore but NOT from online. It might be a different case if you buy directly from amazon but do NOT use the marketplace, because you will be stuck with the book.

The healing properties of oxygen
This is a well-written consumer guide to bio-oxidative therapies that highlights the therapeutic benefits of hydrogen peroxide and ozone and the methods in which they are used. The good news is that these therapies promise to bring relief to millions because the substances are inexpensive and affordable. What's more, they have very few adverse effects when correctly administered.

The difference between oxidation (free radical activity) and oxygenation (increase in oxygen molecules) is made clear at the start. The clinical use of ozone and hydrogen peroxide has been amply documented in medical literature, yet ignored by the medical mainstream. At last its value is being discovered by a growing number of health-wise consumers. These two substances hold great promise for the treatment of some of the major diseases confronting humanity and they form part of a new healing paradigm involving safe, effective, inexpensive and natural forms of therapy.

In the first part the author explains what these therapies are and takes a closer look at first ozone and then hydrogen peroxide. Concise, easy to read and useful
I am a general practitioner with Diploma in dermatology.
Among the 2 dermatology atlas and 6 dermatology textbooks that I have owned, this is simply the best one because the information is update, concise and presented in an easy to read manner.Compared with the Atlas of Clinical Dermatology by du Vivier 2nd Edition, this book has more updated information although the du Vivier's atlas has more classical and more abundant photographs on rarer dermatological diseases.
However, potential readers should not expect detailed explanations on diagnosis making and management.
