Together, Orbis and Morris (the Law Library catalog) constitute the Yale University Library online catalog. In Orbis, OPAC contains materials from 1977 to the present. If you would like to contact one of these activists, please send an e-mail to contact@globalyouthconnect.org Hafsat Abiola is a Nigerian human rights activist whose father, the elected president of Nigeria, died recently while imprisoned by the ruling military elite. In 1996, her mother was assassinated, apparently by agents of the military. Hafsat graduated from Harvard in 1997 and has established an institute memorializing her mother's life, called the Kudirat Institute for Nigerian Democracy. For the past three years, Hafsat has been the president of the African Students Association and currently works for the Special Olympics in Washington, D.C. Tina Choi is currently the coordinator of the Global Teaching and Learning Project at the United Nations, which offers educational materials regarding global issues and the UN to an international education community. Through its online program, the UN Cyberschoolbus, classroom resources and activities on subjects ranging from human rights to peacekeeping to economic development are offered via the Internet, email, and in print. Previously, Tina was a program coordinator at Do Something, a non-profit organization which trains, funds and mobilizes young people to be community leaders. She has a masters degree in social and education policy from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree from Wellesley College. While an undergraduate, Tina worked at the White House, received a grant from the Ford Foundation, and received the college's highest community service award. She was selected by Glamour Magazine as one of the Top Ten College Women of 1993.
