Extractions: Lesson Plans Guidelines for writing a lesson plan . Find the essential features for creating a lesson plan. Also find some suggestions of things to consider when developing a lesson specifically for deaf students. Teachers have contributed some of their best ideas for science and mathematics lessons to the COMETS website. As teachers send in the lessons, we are linking them to science and mathematics education standards. We began with Pennsylvania standards but the standards are slowly evolving as we examine other states. Please feel free to use anything you find here (But please read our first.). One easy way to find whether a lesson is available is to use the COMETS search engine and type the keywords related to the lesson, such as "density" or "gene". You may also wish to just scroll down the standards and search for those which have lessons. As the lessons are developed, we will enhance them through time by adding reading, writing, and thinking skills activities based on what we know from educational research with deaf learners.

Science Math A tutorial site that provides students with complete solutions to the problems in their math textbooks. There are no ads on the site and it covers Algebra I to Calculus. Every problem is worked out in a step by step format. Graphs are included when needed and hints can be given before the next step is displayed if desired. This tutorial/homework site is unique in that it is book specific. The actual problems from each book are solved, not generic examples. Users click on their book title, the page number and the problem number and the first step of the solution is displayed. New books are added periodically.
