African American History: Welcome This project documents a selection of important events in African american history. Currently it begins Category Science Social Sciences american Government Civil Rights much difficulty locating information about African american history as I this project, please see this history www.watson.org/~lisa/blackhistory/index.html Last http://www.watson.org/~lisa/blackhistory/
Extractions: This project documents a selection of important events in African American history, beginning with the Dred Scott case in 1857 and ending with the implementation of school desegregation plans in the 1970s. The text is entirely original, culled from various school projects and papers that I wrote between 1995 and 1997. It is by no means complete there are some major gaps but I am providing it to the Internet community in hopes that future students will not have as much difficulty locating information about African American history as I did when I researched my projects. For more information about the past (and the future) of this project, please see this history . The latest additions and changes can be found on the What's New page. You can navigate this project in two ways. You can start at the beginning and move through sequentially, using the "Previous topic" and "Next topic" links on each page. Alternatively, you can move directly to a topic that interests you, either by finding it in the Table of Contents or by searching for it Help with navigating the project is also available.
