A Good First Effort
This is Mark Overmeyer's first book, and it's a good first effort.The first three chapters have very little information that I found interesting, however the last chapters (on student self-assessment and grading) were very insightful.If you really want more "bang for you buck", buy Mark's When Writing Workshop Isn't Working.

An invaluable tool that should not be missed for primary educators

I used this book for a mathematical refreshness when I had to take a professional/academic exam. It is quite simple to follow and you will quickly remember many of the mathematical problems and formulas shown. It is great for those that need to refresh their math skills for an upcoming exam.
