As you can see it is a bit dated, but the process of reviewing will be the same regardless of age of the software. I will try to keep updating this list and getting links to sites that give current information (and perhaps demos of the most recent version). From searching the 15th Annual International Conference on Technology in Collegiate Mathematics, I found the following things (some may not be software) mentioned by name: Fathom, Mathml, Calculus Machina, Mathwright text, Activstats, Cassiopeia, Autograph, Hotquiz, Scientific Notebook, mymathtest.com, Livemath, TI-Interactive, Project Welcome, netmath, Jexam, Creole, Voyage 200, Winplot, Scientific Workplace, Jexam, Netmath. Searching the Internet for some of these terms may provide a demo version to evaluate from. For students NOT going into teaching, I would recommend looking at one of the Computer Algebra Systems, one of the 3D graphing packages, contrasting the TI-83 Plus with another calculator or an emulator, looking into the FLASH capabilities of the TI-83 Plus, or finding some useful JAVA applications on the web to review. For students going into teaching, there are more options.
