Needs drastic editing
While this book is thorough, it contains a great deal of repetitive phrases and information and way too many references, almost as if the writer feels defensive about taking anyone elses idea.I understand this thoroughness, but the book is repetitive to the point of being maddening.I have to read it for school and I keep having to put it down.Other Graduate students feel similarly. To be to the point, this book is very informative and easy to use. Each career description includes all the most pertinent information - what the job typical entails, future outlook, average salary, training required, personal skills neccessary, personality traits that are compatible (or incompatible), and a detailed listing of schools that offer programs to earn whatever degree/certificate/etc. that is neccessary to begin.

This book is an easy read, it is definately all about the advantages of the EHR, says little or nothing about how this impacts existing employees in this career field, probably because it will make them obsolete.Oh well, so it goes!

Good starting point
A must purchase for anyone considering entering the field. I wish there was more about picking the right masters program/graduate school. It is a really comprehensive book detailing a lot about salaries etc. and I haven't found any book comparable to it.

Health care manpower shortages are now commonplace and many health care providers take months to locate qualified personnel. It is not just traditional medical jobs that are growing.
