Extractions: Annual Report ... Pharmacy Practice General Practice Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Introduction Christiana Care Residency Programs offer an excellent environment for the study of dentistry, with interface among all medical departments. We offer prospective residents the choice of two programs: a one-year General Practice Dentistry Program and a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program. Our strengths are in our teaching, which covers state-of-the-art techniques in implants and orthognathic surgery, and in our vast and varied clinical exposure to patients. Christiana Care Residency Programs are affiliated with the Christiana Care Health System, which includes both Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals. As Delaware's only Level-one trauma center and a regional leader in oncology and the treatment of cardiac disease, Christiana Care offers general practice residents experience as "team members" in treating medically compromised, as well as complex trauma patients. Our oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS) residents benefit because Christiana Care Residency Programs are not offered in otolaryngology or plastic surgery, affording them the unique opportunity to gain experience in all areas of head and neck surgery.

This page provides information on scholarship opportunities and internet sites that may be helpful. Students should avoid search services and financial aid consultants that charge a fee for their services. These services can be expensive and do not guarantee results. While the Office of Student Affairs makes every attempt to provide current and complete financial resource information, this list is by no means comprehensive. Programs, deadlines, and eligibility requirements are constantly changing. Student Affairs can not assume responsibility for the information provided. The following is a list of financial aid resources available to dental students, including eligibility requirements and important deadline information as of November 2002.

Assessing the New Federalism is a multi-year Urban Institute project designed to analyze the devolution of responsibility for social programs from the federal government to the states, focusing primarily on health care, income security, employment and training programs, and social services. Researchers monitor program changes and fiscal developments. In collaboration with Child Trends, Inc., the project studies changes in family well-being. The project aims to provide timely, nonpartisan information to inform public debate and to help state and local decisionmakers carry out their new responsibilities more effectively. Key components of the project include a household survey, studies of policies in 13 states, and a database with information on all states and the District of Columbia, available at the Urban Institute's Web site. This paper is one in a series of occasional papers analyzing information from these and other sources.

State computers are used to determine the eligibility of beneficiaries and the disbursement of payments. In addition to supporting the administration and oversight of these programs, computers help make sure that eligible beneficiaries get the services they need and pay providers of these services such as foster care and child care. State computers are used to identify and locate delinquent non-custodial parents and collect child support payments. The five programs, operated by the States and territories, receive over $30 billion in federal funds to promote the economic and social well-being of families, children, individuals, and communities. ACF has conducted on-site assessments in fifty-five jurisdictions to evaluate the Y2K compliance of the operations of the five high impact programs. ACF visited the 50 States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa and the Virgin Islands to assess information systems. As of mid-November 1999, 26 jurisdictions are at low risk for possible problems in all five program areas, 23 are at medium risk in one or more areas, while 6 jurisdictions are currently at high risk in one or more programs. ACF continues to work with states to assume readiness.

The late-eighteenth century saw the popularization of pasting verses, sketches, and watercolors into books, and the proliferation of chromolithographic "scraps" in the Victorian era turned producing these books into a bona fide recreation. When women combined journalistic narrative with colorful ephemera and memorabilia from their lives, these creative collages reveal fascinating self stories.
