Very Helpful Book
My son has ADHD and I do give him medication to help him focus...when I saw the title of this book, and the subtitle, I thought it might be worthwhile for me to read it.There were many helpful suggestions and ideas, and also case studies which I could really relate to.The authors write in an interesting way that is easy to understand.I have tried implementing some of their suggestions and have had some success.Although I am not quite ready to stop giving my son his medication, this book was very encouraging that it might be a possibility in the future.I would highly recommend it to any parent of a child diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. ... Since 1992, marijuana use among 8th graders has tripled, among 10th graders it has nearly doubled, and its use among high school seniors has increased by 50 percent. The use of other illicit drugs is also heavily on the rise. A Good One
I thought this book was a good book since I am a sophmore in high school. I am doing a speech on binge drinking and how to deal with it. I believe kids my age should read this book because it might help them get throughany drinking problems they might have. Kids in especially grades 9-10 areunder a lot of peer pressure to drink. I know. I did drink for quite awhileuntil I ended up in the hospital. After that I wanted to get some help andthis book describes some of the help I got.
