Not that effective
It has five languages: good! It has NO dictionary and most of its phrases are worthless: yes!Not that great but the only book with multiple countries... it was pretty good for that, but I don't know if we actually found it. Okay walk around, seeing as everyone speaks English. ... Read more

Terrible!
I am so upset that I spent that much money on this! First of all, kind of hard to figure out how to use, I still don't even know what the proper way is. Secondly, they are using different words than I have already learned from native speakers (I bought this just as a way of practicing what I already know). The guy who talks speaks a little too fast and it's not very easy to understand. So I'm not sure if it would really help you if you are wanting to go to Finland. The 'voice recognition' section or something is where you can hear a word, then record your voice saying the same word and it will tell you how accurate you were. Except, I tried saying completely different words and it still told me it was excellent pronunciation...so what's the point!? It just seems really cheap and crappy.I think that these programs are total rip offs and I definitely do not suggest them.

Looking for a better program
I have had a difficult time finding a Finnish language program. I have been looking for one that would be equivalent to taking a textbook course, but I haven't found anything out there.I decided to try this one I came across on Amazon.It is a pretty basic language program. There are several personal settings which you can alter when it gets easier to respond. It also has a unique language setting which I haven't seen in other programs. There are over adozenlanguages other than English to Finnish to choose from.
I have been using it for two weeks and while I am "learning", it is rather boring. While it is repetetive (which is good for memorizing) there isn't any variety.There is a interactive story module, but I haven't gotten to the level of being able to use it yet.I also don't know if there are any exercises in sentence structure .
I will settle for this one, but will still be looking to find a better one.
