The interactive map layers integrate a variety of GIS layers including incipient weeds, aquatic species distribution (both native and non-native), remaining native natural communities, a LANDSAT TM satellite imagery mosaic, USGS 1:24,000 quadrangles, and a parcel-level managed land layer with level of protection quantified using the National GAP Status definitions. Functionality includes basic tools such as pan, zoom in, zoom out, ID, select feature, view photos, and print. Advance tools include the ability to query data contained within each layer, select by a polygon that you draw, and create a buffer around a selection. It is important to note that you must put a check in the box next to the layers you want to see and check the radial button when you want that layer to become the active layer, so you can ID it or query data. Also, remember that it is important to hit the "refresh map" button every time you add or remove a layer so that it redraws the map. Remember that this is a draft site and that comments are welcome.
