Extractions: Ohio Valley Voices (formerly known as The Ohio Valley Oral School) is a privately funded school, founded in 2000, to serve children with hearing impairment in the Tri-State area. Ohio Valley Voices is a part of a larger movement to make it possible for more deaf children to learn to speak. Ohio Valley Voices' objective is to return the children to their home school district where they may be included with their hearing peers. We provide a full-day program for children from three to seven years old. Our highly individualized instruction is tailored to each child's present level of achievement and learning style. Children are grouped according to their abilities in speech, language, auditory skills and academics. Our children learn how to speak and understand when others speak to them. They also learn the same subjects as their hearing peers. Our children work hard, but have fun learning, too. Our teachers know how to gear the level of work to be challenging, while at the same time providing the support necessary to ensure success for each child.
Extractions: State organizations serve the homeschooling community tremendously by providing instruction, encouragement, and training through symposiums, conferences, and conventions. By providing speakers that teach the principles of liberty and the importance of advancing homeschool freedoms, state organizations offer an invaluable service to parents. - J. Michael Smith Every day, hundreds of thousands of committed mothers and fathers selflessly devote themselves to the task of teaching their children at home. Free from the strictures of government bureaucracy and standardization, these parents create positive learning environments that engage their children's learning styles and respect their individuality. For Christian parents, the most appealing benefit of homeschooling is the ability to incorporate their faith and convictions into the educational process. At the end of the day, their children's faith in God has been affirmed, their worldview strengthened, and their family life enriched. Like a diamond, the beauty of homeschooling is truly multi-faceted.

Extractions: MISSION STATEMENT Dear Fellow Homeschooler, God has blessed us with a splendid world. Homeschooling gives us, as parents, the opportunity to explore and learn of His creation as we teach our children. The purpose of our organization is to provide support, information, and fellowship to homeschooling parents, and provide activities, field trips, and fellowship to homeschooled children. May God richly bless your family and may your homeschooling adventures be a success! - EXCELL STATEMENT OF FAITH EXCELL believes that the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. EXCELL believes in the Triune Godhead; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He has always existed. EXCELL believes Jesus Christ was God, who came to Earth in the form of a man. He was sinless yet He was crucified and He died for the sins of all men. On the third day He rose from the dead. EXCELL believes Ephesians 2:8-9 which states, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." OUR BELIEF It is our belief that a parent should train up a child in the nurture and admonition of God. Homeschooling is not just an alternative form of education, but a God-given opportunity.
