What I do want to tell you is that once you unleash the power of self-love and appreciation, the power ofyou will rise. This is an emotional journey and you are not alone. I use the word emotional because within this journal you will begin to peel the layers and layers that have turned you into a fat & unhealthy person. Food is tied to all kinds of emotions. I originally started to write this as a weight loss journal, but it became so much more. This journal became my outlet, a way for me to get inside of myself and sort through me. You will read about true-life emotions and although as you read this and you go through your own pain, you will feel your own emotions. The point is that you must own your emotions, no matter how much it hurts at times and believe me it can hurt so bad that you will think that it can never get better. I am here to tell you that it can and it will get better. I hope by sharing this journal with you, it helps to create healthy boundaries for yourself. I want you to understand that you can believe in yourself even before you see results. I am talking about emotional, spiritual, and physical results. You must commit yourself to look at everything about your life. Sometimes you will like what you see, other days you will cringe. The only advice I can offer you is to be honest with yourself even if you are ashamed or embarrassed. Give yourself a pat on the back and treat yourself like a queen. It's not being selfish. You are you and no one else. Find the beauty in that fact and know that you are meant to be here and that your life has a purpose. You don't have to be a star to find your place in life. I have found that being a mom means more to me than awards, fame or fortune.

I dedicated this journal to myself because it is for me that I began this project. I will share with you my inner most thoughts, embarrassing moments, good days, bad days, really bad days, struggles & successes. I share with you my favorite quotes, some written by me, some by other great women. I will open my life, my heart, my soul, and my true raw self to you so that you too may also begin your journey of healing. It's About Time
Annalise's life didn't go as she wanted.She grew up poor, to parents who loved her and did their best for her, but she wanted more out of life.She never knew exactly what it was her life was missing until she found it in Tomas.Tomas is the sweetest man she's ever met, and also her husband's brother.Can Annalise and Tomas overcome the many obstacles hurled in their path and fine true happiness with each other?

It's About Time is an interesting story.It reads as a memoir of Annalise's life giving very thorough details including how she was conceived, and giving some details of her parent's life before she was born.I wasn't awestruck by this story and in some parts I felt the author droned on and gave details I really didn't want or felt that I needed to know.But with that said I couldn't deny the passion and talent of the author Gabriel Constans.The research and effort he put into It's About Time is evident on every page.Even though this story is fiction, I feel readers who enjoy autobiographical type stories will also enjoy It's About Time.

Jesse Bear is the best! Thanks for the memories!
Jesse Bear has been around for quite a few years now... we first discovered "It's about time Jesse Bear" when our daughter Amanda was 3-4 years old. She loved the wonderful illustrations and couldn't get enough of the catchy rhymes, i think she memorized them all! we got the book from the public library and ended up having to find it and buy it for ourselves because we kept having to estend our borrowing period! Our daughter recently passed away at the age of 16 due to Pneumonia complications following treatment for Leukemia. It's a difficult time for us, but we are enjoying building a scrapbook of her life and celebrating what a wonderful blessing she was to our lives... and Jesse Bear holds a very important place in that scrapbook! Our oldest son has blessed us with a granddaughter, elena, who is now 15 months old... Amanda loved her niece so much and loved reading to her, though she never got a chance to share the beloved "Jesse Bear" with her... so we will introduce her to the delights of Jesse Bear for her. I think this is a timeless classic that can be such a lovely part of the joy of parents and children reading together. highly recommend!

Fun throughout the day!
My three-year-old and I love these rhymes and the wonderful illustrations!In the illustrations, there is much for preschoolers to note and discuss (e.g., mom's frown as Jesse spills pudding).

I appreciate the sentiment in many of the poems.In particular, the poem called "Hurry,Jesse" captures the interaction between a working parent and apreschool child perfectly, from the mother encouraging the child to hurry,to the child asking for more time to play, to the mom realizing thatunhurried time for the child is probably more important that the task sheis rushing off to complete.

This book has about 12 short rhymes.Each has short lines which help to keep young ones attention.It opens with Jesse Bear waking up Mom and Dad and ends with bed time.It traces the busy, imaginative day of an activechild.My three year old girl loves each page.

too religious
I wish when I checked out this book in the library I looked at the back jacket cover biography.
Had I done that i would have realized the author was very religious.That in it's own shouldn't matter and should not be a big deal except when a book talking about managing one's time wastes your time interjecting god into every sentence and passages from the bible.I do not believe god has anything to do with why we waste time or how we can manage our time better.Unfortunately, I only got to page 43 becasue I just couldn't take her religious take on how we can organize our lives and be more productive through god.
On page 43 she lists "Strategies to Tame Time Traps" and the first priority/strategy #1 is:Meet with god first who on page 47 she refers to as her CEO.
What a bunch of bull.There are many other books on time management out there, which focus on just that.I will be returning this to the library tomorrow!!!!

It's About Time
This is an excellent book if you wonder what your individual purpose is. The book helps you discover your passion if you don't know it and gives a lot of useful advice and insightful questions to help you live the life that you believe God has called you to live. We are going to use this book for our ladies retreat because we believe it has useful information for women in every age bracket and walk of life.
