Anohter great Benni Harper book
I really enjoyed this story.Earlene Fowler did a great job of showing us more about Benni & Gabe's relationship and developing their characters. It was wonderful to learn more about Gabe through his interaction with his family and friends from Kansas.I enjoyed all of the knowledge pertaining to the Amish as I always enjoy learning more about them. The book was a fast read and kept my interest throughout.I loved "touring" Kansas but the rodeo stuff was a little dry for me.All in all an excellent story and I am now reading the next book.I am in my Benni Harper mode and want to read all of them now!!!

too much extraneous information
The first two books of this series were much better in my humble opinion. And you definitely need to read this series in the order they were written. There was way too much nonrelevant info about both Kansas and especially rodeos in this book. If you're a rodeo fan you might like it! Who cares what all the rural towns in Kansas look like? I certainly don't. A little description is fine but this was way overboard. I found myself doing a lot of quick scanning and skipping to get to the meaningful parts of the story. Hopefully the other titles in this steries will be a more satisfying read. Also there seemed to be more crude language in KANSAS TROUBLES than earlier in the series. Was it because the setting was Kansas?! Come on--please, don't insult the rural folks of Kansas! And one more negative here: Benni's "hands-off" policy to her new groom in their bedroom just because they were guests in his mother's home was totally childish. What a foolish way to treat a sexy new husband. What in the world was Earlene Fowler trying to prove here anyway? It didn't seem to fit with Benni's character type in the previous titles. As you can tell, I definitely was not impressed with this one.

Fowler Scores Again
Earlene Fowler does a wonderful job of making cozies that aren't too sweet or too sentimental.She presents smart, funny, imperfect characters you would recognize within your own community.

I am enjoying reading this series and this was the best so far.It was very hard to put the book down once I got started.
