Extractions: Government/Economics Latina Christiana is geared toward younger students. In Level I, it explains the first three declensions and present, preterite and future verb conjugations. The teachers guide is essential. There's nothing wrong with this program, it's just not as extensive as the other two. I would recommend this for someone who wants a taste of Latin, but doesn't necessarily care to master the language. KONOS Latin is included with Highschool History of the World Vl. II, when the middle Ages and Rome are studied. Its not supposed to be a complete Latin program and its not. A useful primer, though. KONOS History of the World was my history program in 9th and 10th grade. It is not a text book, rather a weekly guide for studying history. There are 10-30 activities each week. You choose how many you want to do. Instead of imparting perconceived biases onto the student, which a textbook will inevitably do, KONOS gives helpful direction. Most of the information is obtained from library books and the encyclopedia. As with anything in life, you get out what you put in. This course is flexible. For some, it could be an unschooling curriculum, and for others, a strict, day by day lesson plan.

These activities and lessons include problem solving and critical thinking skills. The different principles are introduced using sports and how aerodynamics effects tennis balls, golf balls, baseballs, frisbees, race cars etc... These examples are real life and tangible which allows the children to apply them to the abstract ideas of aerodynamics. Well done lessons that could easily fit into math or science.
