ghosts that follow you home
The value of this book lies in recognizing what is there as much as what one sees. A very respected friend recommended it and I bought it on her word. One the surface is has some issues that might be dealt with in a second edition should it ever get there. The "price of admission" reference in the intro sent up flags of the suggestion one was getting tickets to a sideshow rather than something real. The first third of the book is a bio of the author. Interesting as background, but not terribly relevant to the book. The second third is a fascinating jumble of science and art. Lots of gems and ideas get presented in the array. The regret is that it is not very well tied together. With development this section could be great. As it is the homework is left to the reader with little direction. A few areas tend to be somewhat contradictory. As an example, the paragraph on talismans. amulets, and cures, tells us these are considered superstitions but that feng shui uses them as visual aids. This either undercuts feng shui with the suggestion that it is a shallow, somewhat cynical, art form, or that there is a lack of grasp/scope in the appreciation of the spiritual value of these areas. Again, the section suffers from lack of development so we don't know for sure. Another is the suggestion of the I Ching as a binary computer system. Interesting concept, but given the layers of consciousness with which it is in contact one has the concern that perhaps more of this very complex area could be reduced to ones and zeroes. Not true and not tied together. All this said it the substance is quite useful for further work by the reader. Where the book shines is the last third. While residual spirits from people dying at home doesn't happen so much in North America, one does have a more significant related situation to which this section is relevant. In the course of daily modern life one tends to come in contact with lots of residual spiritual energy from the people with whom we come in contact whether we know them or not. The "clearing" section is of tremendous value for implementation of feng shui for every reader. Clearing the spiritual entities that one carries home and thus allowing one to rest, recover, relax, recreate, and grow, make this book worth working through and reading again from time-to-time.

Hugely Beneficial

She pulls us right into her natural world of seeing our living environments as being rich with opportunities for joy or grief. She describes, using an easy recipe format, how to assess your living environment and clear whatever is disturbing your harmony. Dr. Prezio explains how to create a loving and spacious surrounding thatenhances physical, emotional, psychological, and relationship health.I have used several of her remedies in my own home; and friends enter stating that my living environment feels livelier, fresher and more intimate. There is nothing so new in the book for me but it was nice to know how she had worked, very easy to follow.

Outstanding
What an outstanding book. I have read so many books on feng shui and they just seem so cut and dry. I LOVE how the author weaves in stories with valuable insights into the feng shui ghost busting world. It comes across with warmth and simplicity, giving me the confidence that I can indeed apply these tips and the know how so I can get results. Really wonderful and authentic! waste of money, waste of time
okay so the title is quirky....this author filled up fully ONE HALF of this book in what can be summed up in one sentence: "Grandpa told me ghost stories when I was a kid....and I liked them" big deal. The author even thoughtfully included SNAP SHOTS of her family. Good grief. How much money did I waste on this? The second half of the book was random feng shui tips...random being the operative word here. There is no clue on how to tie those together into any sort of cohesive whole or how they might apply to your particular situation. Please...do not buy this book. You would be better served in your feng shui search to google "feng shui" and see what comes up. Truly you will not learn anything whatsoever in this book...it is not even slightly amusing either...unless you somehow enjoy looking at old black and white pictures of people you don't know. very informative and educational
This book was a godsend to demystifying the human energy field.It is not at all full of mystical mumbo-jumbo as other new age books, but is in all essence the work of a sincere scientist in the medical field of his time.In a time where empiricism was beginning to reign, Dr. Kilner's pioneering research in an otherwise "unknown" domain is, in my opinion, very much needed in our modern fascination with the mysteries of alternative medicine paradigms.What I really appreciated is his honest and sincere documentation of his personal experiments with blue cyanin-dyed goggles that enabled him to "see" auras around human beings while at the same time not claiming any "occult" powers or clairvoyance.Instead, he honestly documents his findings in a very scientific and objective manner, and any sincere student of alternative medicine will find his work most enlightening.I hope his work gets the recognition that it deserves in our post-modern era.

The great parapsychology book looking at Auras with science
This book should be an inspiration to all parapsychologists. He stays completely in the realm of science careful not to sway the audience. His main acheivement is proving the existence of the Aura. Yet, he goes furthertrying to find applications to his discovery. He surveys some people to geta general idea of the norm conditions of a healthy person. He also trieslooking at a few sick people to see if the physical can cause auriceffects. He asks his readers if they can continue investigating hisfindings by providing the screens neccessary for auric sight. Yet, thescreens aren't provided any more which makes this book its only flaw. That,however, does not sway my decision about this book being one of thegreatest science books written and any laymen can follow without anyproblems understanding. Amateur
The book was fine for an amateur ghost hunter, with zero experience, or a young adult, who would like to get into learning about how to investigate ghosts.My biggest beef, this guy is promoting groups charging to do research for people who may be frightened out of their minds with what is happening in their home.I think he suggested $20 an hour for the team leader and $10 for the other researchers.I don't even remember I closed the book as soon as I saw that he wants to charge.If you want a good paranormal research book, get Vince Wilson's Untimate Ghost Hunter, and for a great paranormal how to guide, Troy Taylor's Ghost Hunters Guidebook.They are both far and away better this this piece of work.
Although, I am a little biased I am an American Ghost Society member.

I like the book......
It does introduce the beginner to a lot of terms for hauntings and equipment. But it does little else. I was hoping for more detail on how to read and understand equipment and how to best utilize different equipment. Overall it is a good reference for the beginner.

Cheap as in CHEAP
I was expecting something with a little more "meat" - this book is described as having 162 pages.Please be aware this is a tiny pocketbook and the text could easily fit on 40 regular-size pages.The amount of content is not worth the price of the book.In all seriousness, I've found more valuable information for free on the Internet.

Awesome Book - What typo's and grammer errors?
The book is well written and chock full of accurate information. The author will even email you back when you have a question. I don't know what that guy was talking about, the book has helped me greatly! I haven't seen any grammatical or spelling errors at all. It may be self published, I can't tell the difference from any other book on the subject. The author even offers the book in e-book form WITH video! Ignore that guy with the attitude, it's obvious he is a competitor.

Don't waste your money!
This book is self-published which should tell you something. The Grammar and spelling in this book are atrocious. The author claims to have a BA in journalism yet neglected to proof his work. I've been studying the paranormal for the last 28 years and I can honestly say there are many inconsistencies in this book. The book is so bad I'm attempting to get my money back.
