All Time is Now
This was a very interesting small book.The author is a practicing psychologist specializing in helping her patients thru the use of hypnotic regression into past lives.She shares her knowledge of regression techniques in this book. I have read two (2) of Dr Michael Newton's books on the subject of Life between Lives thru the use of hypnotic regression.However, this author has made even more discoveries and in roads on this subject.Below are some of which I found the most interesting:

Thru hypnotic regression it is possible to go forward into the future and view future lives that she terms "hypnotic progression".

The prerequisite to experience the other planes of existence to include other combinations of dimensions requires that the entity separate from the physical body.

Each entity has many layers of bodies to include the physical body, astral, spiritual, mental, emotional, etheric and preternatural.When you set the physical body aside, the rest remain intact.

Ever wonder why after an event in time that some people undergo a significant personality change?The author has one explanation though she claims it is rare.She calls it "stepping in/ stepping out".During the author's experiences with her clients, she has discovered that there are pre-existing soul agreements for one soul to step out of a body and another to step in.The reason has to do with maximizing the potential for spiritual growth for both entities.

There was only one part of this book I had a hard time believing but found even that interesting.It is located in the "Belief" section and is as follows: "Not so long ago, it was commonly believed that human beings would never be able to fly, and certainly they would never reach the moon.Yet space vehicles carrying teams of people now travel far beyond the moon."Does she know something we don't?It has not been release to the public if it is true.

I have read a lot on the subject that we live all of lives at one time.I have never been able to comprehend how this works even though I believe it.The author has provided the best explanation that I know of and it is as follows: "Perhaps you have heard the phrase, `All time is now.'It expresses that all events in all lifetimes are happening right now.All moments are in a state of stasis, waiting for our conscious attention.Wherever we focus our spirit's attention, that is where we are.Each of us is presently focused in this aspect of our soul."

good, good, good
As a practicing past life regressionist, I consider this one of the better books I've read on this subject.It is an easy read but also filled with good information.It enabled me to enrich my sessions by incorporating some of the techniques presented in the book.

Excellent and full of wisdom
Mary Lee Labay has made a wonderful contribution to the field of regression therapy and past life therapy in this book. I do not recall reading anyone that conveyed such loving wisdom from her own regression and astral plane experience and the extremely sensitive insights gained from working with clients. She describes with real clarity many of the critical aspects of the regression journey

Her description of "walk in" or "step ins" as she calls them is particularly excellent and a great opener into one of the ways that personalities of souls will set up their lives to fulfill their own predelictions and desires for specific expressions and learning.

Mary Lee explains with clarity how perceptions create our experience.She conveys understanding of this dynamic that is critical for both the therapist and the client. Moreover she offers descriptions of the Interlife periods that can be very helpful for the practitioners and non practitioners alike who are first venturing into this realm. In doing so she dispels many misconceptions about the after death experiences. As to this arena, she gives warm and personable descriptions of her own learning and healings that convince the reader as to her compassionate capacities as a therapist and teacher.

I highly recommend this book for students and practitioners of Past Life Therapy and for those just starting on their pathway in growth through this modality.

Great Book!
I was very pleased with with this book.It gave me more information on past life regressions than I had received in previous books on the subject.It is clear that the author is very experienced in her work and she details many actual regressions.I also appreciated the past life regression script that was included in the book.It's a great read for the beginning practitioner or anyone wanting to gain a greater depth of understanding on past life regression.After reading the book, I now am ready to take a course in hypnotherapy and start practicing!

I have been reading Past Life Regression: A Guide for Practitioners, and find the book to be in wonderful alignment with what I have learned from Milton Erickson's methods. From a clinical psychology research perspective, it is so helpful for clients to work in the metaphors, such as are demonstrated in this book, allowing them to best process their emotions in a client-centered, non-leading fashion. This book gives clear and detailed guidance and suggestions on how to do this utilizing past lives. After reading the book I contacted Dr. LaBay, and she was most helpful in supporting my pursuit of incorporating past lives into my professional practice. Inaccessible Book
I stumbled upon a reference to this book while searching the internet for non-religious theories of immortality. You see, I'm 18 and I'm terrified of death. I've been jumping on anything that might convince me it'll all be OK. So I bought this book.

The main problem with this book is that it's simply too smart- I may be 18 but I'm by no means an unintelligent individual, but this book really threw me for a loop. I desperately wanted the information it held, but between gargantuan, unrecognizable vocabulary and no background in theoretical physics I found myself very lost the vast majority of the time I read it.

This is a small book, and I was not able to finish it.
And let me tell you, I am a very VERY patient man.

Like I said, I'm sure there's lots of good and interesting info in here. You just have to be able or willing to go through the toil of digging it all out.

Immortality via Pantheism
This is an admirably brief book of philosophy which outlines and defends a model of pantheism. The discussion of immortality is actually only a small part of the story, and Leslie's ideas about that topic follow fairly naturally once the pantheistic stage is set.It's an interesting approach to trying to understand reality in a manner distinct from both traditional theism and naturalism.

Leslie's model has several contentious elements. First, he argues that some form of Platonism is true: he says that even if the cosmos did not exist, it would exist as an abstract possibility, and he is likewise a realist about things like mathematical truths, and, importantly, ethical truths. The next key concept, which he finds first in Plato, is the notion that "the Good" calls forth the existence of the concrete world. Finally, he adopts from Spinoza the suggestion that what exists can also be described as aspects of a divine mind.

The most difficult idea is that of the Good as a creative principle: the world exists because it is ethically required that it should.He argues for this indirectly:he wants to convince the reader it's a coherent idea, and that the nature of the world is consistent with it (its intelligibility, orderliness and life-suitability). And while the world has a lot in it which isn't good at all, the pantheist just has to argue that our world is valuable enough to be one of potentially many worlds to manifest the creative principle.Put alternatively, our world is interesting enough to be something worthy of contemplation by a divine mind.

With regard to this idea of being part of divine mind, Leslie thinks there is evidence for this in the kind of unity manifested in our own conscious minds, and likewise in the holistic aspect of nature generally, given quantum theory.

Leslie discusses three models of immortality.First is the model of the universe as a four-dimensional block. If the past and future are as real as the present, then any person who ever lives has a type of immortality. But more interestingly, if we accept the idea of being part of a divine mind, then perhaps this mind could think thoughts about us beyond the lifespan we're in now: this would be the afterlife. Third, and more generally, because the divine mind is itself eternal, and our life-pattern is one aspect of its being, we might thus survive bodily death, in a fashion, by virtue of our participation in the future of the divine mind.
