An excellent basic introduction to candlemaking
After looking through stacks of books featuring floating candles, sand candles, and red white and blue beeswax cutout candles, I settled on this book for its introduction to a variety of techniques.This book answeredquestions I had on how to keep the wick still in votives, pouringtemperature for different types of candles, how to make drip candles, andhow to inlay objects.The author offers useful tricks for completing eachproject successfully accompanied with step by step photographs.The mainthing I love about this book is that I can adapt its techniques to make myown creative projects.

Briggs is consistently wonderful
I've gotten a few of Raleigh Brigg's books and zines in the past and have been consistently impressed with the common sense approach and the illustrations. So when I saw this one available, I ordered it immediately.
It's a short, concise zine in nice clear handwriting with a common sense approach to soap making that's absolutely not intimidating for absolute beginners. The illustrations are wonderful and the instructions are very clear. If you are a soap maker and want to interest someone else in it, this is a good booklet to start with. If you haven't made soap before, but are interested in learning from a very basic level without having a ton of extra information to read, this is a great introduction.
My only wish is that Brigg's zines were available in Kindle format to possible inspire more people to check out the work of this talented artist/writer. ... Read more

Pretty & Imaginative Ideas
If you believe presentation is important and like to occasionally make your guests go "ooh" and "ahh," this is a great book for ideas.Most ideas aren't that complicated, but make a big impact.Not really for people who want to make candles, but really for people who have plain candles and want to gussy them up.Terrific, inspiring photos!

Customer service was good but my book showed up a week after the latest expected arrival date.

Extremely Poor
Without a doubt one of the worst computer books I have ever bought.The intent of buying a book about programming is to actually learn programming.I have fought the XML section until I have a screaming headache with very little accomplished.So far I have found it impossible to get the so-called examples to run.The source code is not available from the publisher in spite of what others may tell you.Yes, there is a file to be downloaded.However, it has almost none of the source code in it.For example, it only contains the source code for one .jsp file for the entire 2nd chapter.The writing style is practically incomprehensible, jumping around all over the place without ever finishing anything.There are nine authors listed on the cover.Perhaps that is why this book is such a clusterf#@k.How did this thing get to a 2nd printing?STAY AWAY FROM THIS BOOK.I cannot stress that enough.

The Bridge Less Travelled..
The problem with Learning Web Services is just one - there is too much happening..the technology has grappled everyone's attention and a lot of Organizations are on it..
A beginner to web services just doesn't know where to look..strong foundations give 'empire estates', this book does just that
The primer on XML was one of the best i ever read anywhere and i am a big fan of Dr.Google, the clarity of the authors on WSDL Element model is very informative. All in all - if you need a book to trace Web Service concepts and build your foundations - i would strongly refer this book.

If you are looking for a quick reference/book to get started in implementation you should look elsewhere..Sam's 'Teach Yourself Web Services in 24 Hours' is a good choice..but then i believe that this book is definitely worth a reference because it goes a distance conceptually.

This book has helped me immensely in implementing some really intense production quality data interchange across systems using web services.

This book will quickly help you understand the entire XML stack of technologies that you will need for Web Services.

The authors have uniquely enabled the readers to develop an understanding of the underlying technologies that make up the web services.Certainly expect to put in some effort in understanding the content.

The worst book
The writers either do not understand the topics, or they want to confuse the readers intentionally. You will find their writing style extremly annoying. They use the Skatestown(??) example to mislead the readers whenever they need to explain something. I dont know how such a bad written book can make it out to the book stores. A 5 gallon bucket of lard can be obtained for less than $25.00 (this

Your fragrance can run from $5.00 to $25.00 per ounce if using pure
essential oils, or from $5.00 to $50.00 per half pound of soap
fragrance.
To help cut costs with your fragrances, you can use a variety of
methods to scent your soaps nicely by using herbs, flowers, fruit rinds
etc. thereby saving a lot of money that can be better used to help
increase your profits more.
There are many methods used to extract scents to use for scenting
your soaps. Expression, distillation and maceration being just a few
of the methods one can use.
These methods are not covered in this manual, but they are covered
in “The Art Of Perfumery”.
“The Art Of Perfumery” not only provides methods used for
scenting soaps but which also provides many wonderful methods and
recipes for making other fine bath and beauty products like sachets,
cosmetics, perfumes etc. “The Art Of Perfumery” even provides

Creative Ideas Galore!
I knew I had to have this book the minute I browsed through it.It not only gives you tons of creative ideas, but sparks your creativity to come up with ideas on your own.This is not a step-by-step "how to"book.It's more of a decorating and idea guide.

I loved the carvedsquash and gourds. You better believe my house will be filled with themnext fall.I also loved the simple groupings of candles - whites/creams,fun colors, fun shapes and sizes.And who can resist the various themes: garden, seashore, etc..Are you starting to see a trend here?Thepossibilities are endless.
