From the supplier: South Carolina insurance agents who have not complied with the state's continuing education law will not qualify for an agent license after September 1, 1994. The state requires that all agents, except those with more than 20 years experience or over 55 years of age, must receive 24 hours of continuing education. The Department of Insurance reports that 19,904 agents, or 45.3%, of all licensed agents in South Carolina are in danger of losing their license. Agents have had since 1991 to comply with the law.
