Product Description

Fashion photographer Henry Hargreaves has created an assemblage of beautiful images of the female form in a unique way—in 3D. And as you’ll see in the enclosed book, 3DD is every inch what its subtitle promises: A 3D celebration of breasts.

The exceptional models in 3DD appear in third dimension when viewed through the included special glasses using the classic (but newly again popular) process of anaglyph imaging. As a gift or a keepsake, 3DD will be treasured by anyone with an appreciation of the classic art of the nude female form.

5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST thing to happen in 3D yet!
How has this not happened until now? 3D and boobs are the perfect couple. I am so happy with this purchase, I didn't really know what I was getting when I brought this, but let me say it far exceeds my expectations!
The book is really nice hardback quality. The pictures are really fun and inventive, I was expecting something much simpler but each shot is so different from every other one and there's a massive variety of boobs. My girlfriend also really likes the book and I think has spent more time looking at it than me, she loves to show her friends while they compare the different kinds of breasts. It comes with some cardboard 3D aviators that need a little working to use comfortably and a few moments for your eyes to adjust to the 3D, then BANG!
Overall a fantastic buy, will be getting it as my go-to gift and looking forward to more cool 3D books

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Stereo Photography
This is a fun little paperback-sized hardcover. The images have excellent depth to them and nearly all of the girls are beautiful. There are around 5 exceptions. My only complaint is the size of the photos. Each pair are close to 2" in height and around 1 3/4" in width. Not very large.Luckily, I didn't purchase this book to leave them that way. After a day of steady scanning and editing, I have converted 37 of the best images (10 left undone due to model being not all that hot or the image itself wasn't good for conversion) into beautiful anaglyphic 3D.They really came out great with superb depth. Each one is nice and large now for maximum detail.I also spent time editing out imperfections, like specks. They now all look even better than before in small form.If anyone would like copies, e-mail me.My thanks to Bunny Yeager for putting this book out.

5-0 out of 5 stars One Hot Item
This is a great book for those who adore 1950's pin-up eye candy. Its one of my favorites, and apparently also a favorite of everyone else.I've had the darn thing stolen 3 times!! So please, get your own copy as I want to keep this one! I am afraid to even take my latest copy out of the plastic in fear another person will open it, see what is inside and take a walk...

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good stereo effect
Very good book, nice pictures.
You can buy it !!

5-0 out of 5 stars This book is 3-Delicious
This volume creatively includes a 3-D viewer for truly experiencing these stereo-graphic images from the 50s.
More art and history rather than erotica... or at least that's what you can tell your significant other.
The pictures are great, I particularly enjoy that the women come from a more realisitic, less enhanced era.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pseudoscopic Images (Pseudostereo)
Having been in stereo photography for nearly 50 years, I must point out that six of the images in this book were presented pseudoscopically, i.e., the left and right photos were reversed in printing. These prints were opposite pages numbered 6, 16, 20, 74, 76, and 84. When this left-to-right error occurs, the near objects appear to be distant and the distant objects seem close up, a very confusing situation for our eyes and brains to interpret. A technique known as cross-eyed viewing makes it possible to see these as they should be, but this requires a fair amount of practice.

The pairs should have been proof read (examined) more carefully by the author before the material went to the printer. If you, the readers, think they look strange you are right.

Stereo nut that I am, I still gave this book a rating of four, butit should perhaps have been downgraded to a three because of these glaring 3-D errors. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing Photographs in 3D
We were visiting a museum one day and one of their interactive rooms had Bugs in 3-D. It is like the old stereoscope viewers in that it shows the photos as if they were three dimensional.
The book has a built in double magnifying glass (the glasses are part of the cover that folds out for use). Each page has two pictures of the same reptilian scene. If you hold the book at a 90 degree angle, and look through the "glasses" the photos become three dimensional (and very close up!). You can see amazing detail as if you were inches away. It sounds creepy but it is very interesting!
Using this book gives you the benefit of looking at these reptiles very close up without having to actually have them in front of you. The photos are beautifully done and very colorful. The text that accompanies each page is educational.
I would highly recommend this book as well as any others in this series by Mark Blum. We now have three in the series. If you can't get it new, a used copy is still wonderful.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awsome Book!
This is a great children's book for both kids and adults. The 3D effect looks great!

5-0 out of 5 stars Another winner by Mark Blum
It would be difficult to assemble a finer 3-D book. Everything works. Until you see this book, you have not seen a frog, a snake or a gecko. The detail in the eyes, feet and tongues are amaizing. This book really puts things in perspective. For children AND adults.

5-0 out of 5 stars Amphibians & reptiles in 3-D
Fabulous book with stereo 3-D photos!

I highly recommended this book for school children and adults alike.

I was introduced to one of Blum's books by a friend and liked it so much that I sought out and bought all of his 3D books. I find the price so reasonable that I've since bought more to give as gifts.

I enjoy looking at the 3-D photos as much as my seven year old son so I already know several adults as well as children who will be getting this book as a gift.

The technical quality of the photos and printing of the books is very good. A magnifying, stereo viewer is built into a unique bi-fold cover of the book A little research showed that this idea is well over a hundred years old (like stereo photography) but I still find it very innovative because it is so rare and unusual.

The photographer has an inspired eye and top technical skill. The close-up photography is wild. I wonder how he got those frogs to hold still like that. Some of them are beautifully colored too.

The writing accompanying each image adds to the photos with just the right amount of scientific and general information to serve both young and old reader. I like this book very much and I hope you find this review helpful. I recommend looking for the other 3-D books by Blum. They are all great!

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT FUN for ALL Ages!!
Well, I am running out of superlatives for Mark Blum's work! I just have to repeat myself - AMPHIBIANS AND REPTILES IN 3-D is simply FABULOUS!! One of the MANY wonderful aspects of this book is how it takes you right INTO the world of these creatures. YOU get shrunk down to the size of a tree frog to meet one! AMAZING!

The content quality is excellent!
The production quality is excellent!
The overall experience is excellent!
And all for this price!?!? How DO they do it?

Can't I give it 10 stars? 20?

Product Description

A child's story told through photographs, a parent's perspective as photographer, and, in the middle, the camera. With its whimsical images and illuminating text, Through the Viewing Glass is a delightful and thoughtful look at life on both sides of the lens.

More than a collection of photographs, Through the Viewing Glass raises questions of reality and perception, exploration and discovery, relationships and recollections. Punctuated with quotes from Lewis Carroll's characters and inventive design elements to fit the irreverent dialogue, it is a boy's tale of being pursued by a camera. But it doesn't end there: In Through the Viewing Glass, the authors take the reader beneath the surface, putting the interactions between ardent picture-taker and witty subject in focus.

The pictures in the book visually represent a mother's wishful thinking -- idyllic scenes of childhood; the words give voice to her subversive offspring, exposing the true, tedious circumstances. In the contradiction lies humor and insight into the dynamics of childrenand photography.

The perfect gift for the family photographer, the scrapbook creator, and those fascinated with the "viewing glass," this book examines why and how we photograph children. It will inspire readers to take a different approach when photographing daily life -- one that is more real and therefore more meaningful and memorable. ... Read more

Product Description
The California brown pelican (P.o. californicus) is a subspecies of the widely distributed brown pelican and is the smallest of all the pelicans in the pelican family. The California brown pelican breeds along the Gulf of California from the Sinaloa and Nayarit coast of Mexico, along the Pacific coast of Baja California, and north to the California Channel Islands. Non-breeding pelicans can be seen along the Pacific coast all the way to the up to the state of Washington and British Colombia. There were huge California brown pelican losses from about 1940 to 1970.The species was listed as endangered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 1970 and a year later, it was enlisted as endangered by the California Fish and Game Commission. The California brown pelican is a fully protected species under California Fish and Game Code, Section 3511. Delisting of the species as endangered is finally being considered, and this would be a happy announcement for those of us who love this fascinating bird.So how did the California brown pelican become endangered? It became endangered primarily as a result of the pesticide DDT.The shells of the nesting birds became so brittle that they cracked and were destroyed during the nesting process. It was sad for the California brown pelican, but the good thing was it alerted the California people to the dangers of DDT, and this led to the passage of several environmental protection laws in the late 1960¿s and the early 1970¿s.And DDT was finally banned in the United States in 1972 amid public outcries against the pesticide. However, before DDT caused declination of this species, humans disturbing the breeding colonies and roosts caused a lowering of their numbers and this also interfered with their reproduction. To top it all off, oil spills and entanglement in fishing tackle further damaged the species (and continue to damage this species). There were few California brown pelicans to be seen during the 1960s and 1980s,but now they can finally be seen again long the U.S. West Coast! The California brown pelican is a true Comeback kid! The Photographs by John D. Weigand were taken with reverence at the direction of this author off the coast of La Jolla, California, where the California Brown pelicans thrive at a place called the La Jolla Cove. ... A SUPER BOOK - I am proud to add to my libray of 3-D Publications. Truly an inspired work. Excellent layout and a GREAT STORY to go along with the photographs!

5-0 out of 5 stars Factual and entertaining look at disaster
This book is a gem! Having a longtime interest in the SF Quake, I look forward with great interest to new books, and recently there have been a few. This one is unique in that it offers a well written text with rare glimpses of the event through steroscopic scenes. Mr. Burkhart must have spent numerous hours hunting for these never before seen photos that capture that tragic day so perfectly. Thoroughly researched and beautifully presented, I would receommend this book to seasoned historians as well as casual readers.

5-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining and Informative!!
This is one of the best books I've seen about the 1906 Earthquake. As a 5th generation Californian, I am impressed not only by the multitude of 3-D images of the quake, but also by the fascinating historical accounts that this book contains.Whether you are intereted in the quake itself, the fire or the stories that go with the 1906 Earthquake, this book has something for you.My 87 year old mother loves it, as does my 5 year old grandaughter.I highly reccomend this book!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Well conceived, well executed
This is not the book to pick up if you're interested in the 1906 earthquake.Although informative, that is not what this book is trying to achieve. The book is much more a history book about the way photographers using 3-D technology recorded the aftermath. As such, it provides us with amazing photography, and very good quality enlargements of the original photos, so that we may compare "flat" 2-D to the 3-D. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great pocket introduction for beginners!
I've read the author's "Digital Photography All In One Desk Reference for Dummies" and "Mastering Digital SLR Photography" and feel fortunate that he is one of the few photographers writing these books among the glut of computer book writers taking a stab at it.So, I purchased this book as an introductory guide for my wife, expecting to find the same clear, accurate coverage of digital photography. I was not disappointed.

All the basics are here, general enough to cover any brand of digital camera, but specific enough to be of use.Because it really is a "quick reference" it will not be the only digital photo book you need. However, it has good information for the beginner and can be used as a reference to answer quick questions.More advanced photographers should avoid this book, because it really is just an intro.

1-0 out of 5 stars You're a dummy if you buy this book !
Poorly written, little useful information on Digital Photography.
The photos inside the book are very poorly printed Black and White photos. My old copy machine would do a better job.

Pathetic effort at Digital Photography, the author should stay with computer books.

Be warned, don't waste your money ! ... Read more
