This book is a winner, and not just for children! Pilgrim society comes vividly alive through believable characters and of course, those surprisingly adaptable recipes. We've successfully turned out several of them, and in the process awakened an interest in early American history in our young nephews. Thanksgiving projects are a natural tie in, but "Pilgrim Girl" will feed body and spirit any time.
