Educational technology was one of three strands (along with special education and multicultural education) designated for integration throughout the program. This integration has provided the impetus for a series of diffusion and dissemination strategies that have been supported and sustained through engagement of faculty with a wide range of interests in technology use over a 15-year period spanning the tenure of three deans. The end goal of this integration is to ensure that preservice teachers will be prepared to integrate appropriate uses of educational technologies in their own teaching after graduation, and serve as leaders for other teachers. After working toward this goal for an extended period of time, we have reached several shared values or conclusions regarding the most effective means of attaining this goal:
