Very, very useful!
I relied primarily on this guide while studying for the VRA.I also reviewed the main points of my literacy textbook, but this guide is what I used the most.I just got my unofficial scores back -- 282 out of 300 (passing score is 235).Needless to say, I am thrilled.I got the e-format, so I had it the day I ordered it.

I agree that this guide needs to be proofread, but it follows almost exactly the format of the study guide which is available on the VCLA/VRA website.It would have been easier to read if the guide had outline headings on it -- but I just wrote them in myself (using the headings on the VCLA/VRA website).

I highly recommend this study guide.

worth buying!
This guide provides an excellent review of the major terms and concepts that the VRA covers, that you will probably not be able to find anywhere else. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that it contains some minor editing problems that make it look a bit unprofessional...though it is still worth buying. Also, there is no section on what the test format will be like, nor does it include sample test questions (this might be due to licensing issues or something). If you are looking for those components though, you can easily find them on the test service's own website. I am definitely glad I bought this book, and I know it greatly helped me prepare for my exam. ... Read more
