This is the northernmost island in Germany and is in contact with the mainland via a 11 km long railroad dike. On this island are 12 villages with together approx. 20,000 inhabitants. After I have done the first testflights with my new KAP-Rig#4 and the SONY P5 at home and after some corrections on this rig, the Rig#4 worked well in the holiday on Sylt. The position is 54 degrees, 58 minutes north and 8 degrees, 20 minutes east. In the year 1978 the lighthouse was bought by Kampen and later it was restored.
