Complete Router Book
Lots of good ideas for guides, shop built hold downs, router tables and special fixtures. Building one of the tables now. Recommend to anyone no matter your skill level.

Text book of router in itself
How great it is!!! I am a novice in woodworking. It is very difficult to make a jig for the good result. This book makes me move to act and make my own jig. I fully recommend this book to all the beginner of woodworking. It is very helpful to understand what router is. It is time to go to my workshop to enlarge my ability for router. Thanks!

If you are buying just one router book... consider this one!
This is a terrific book. Mr Hylton takes you through a whole range of bits and pieces for improving your router table setup through to building your own with a complete cutting list. Lots of pictures, lots of tips and techniques that I wish I knew about years ago! I am now planning on building an Australiansed version of his table and can't wait to use it :)

Getting to know the router
If you want to learn more about routers this is your book.It is great for starting a hobby or begining to learn enough to use to get started in business if you have the desire and willingness to persue further knowledge about routers.Would recommend anytime.

Hard to believe this is out of print
Excellent book with superb diagrams and illustrations. I can't believe a book of this quality is out of print! I have always been very impressed by Time-Life books collections, and the woodworking series is no exception.

Outstanding Guide to the Use of the Router

Woodshop guide
You would think that setting up a workshop is no big deal...WRONG.I have a few guides to shop setup. But get this complete guide and don't end up with everything stuffed in the garage.I liked the section on dust collection systems.Not just hanging a shop-vac next to a saw.The other area that was helpful was the section on power for your shop. Check out the look inside feature for more examples.I bought it used and found it very helpful.

One of Two
The value of a book with many authors generally lies in the editing. Good editing manages to get experts in different fields (and skills) and with different perspectives to contribute their best thoughts for many topics. That way all or most of the "bases" are covered better than most single authors can cover all of them. A single author can seamlessly cover the field, but usually not to the comprehensive depth of a well-edited anthology.

This is a well-edited volume, with the selection and breadth adequate for those needing this kind of "how to" book. Thus it merits our five stars.

Popular Woodworking scores a solid hit with this collection. Sure there are some omissions, but these are more than compensated for by the solid thinking in the contributions.
