... RESEARCH TIPS Sociology is the study of social life, social change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. Sociology is perhaps the broadest of the social sciences, overlapping with psychology, anthropology, education, political science, philosophy, economics, education, and communication. Some of the subdivisions of sociology are: community studies, comparative sociology, demography, group sociology, industrial sociology, medical sociology, political sociology, social ecology, social theory, sociology of aging, sociology of dying, sociology of work, and sociology of race, class, and gender. Since sociology covers such an extensive range of resources and material, narrow your research topic and use resources in this guide that correspond as much as possible to your subject Other Research Guides that may be of interest include: Business and Political Science Jill Moriearty and Linda St. Clair
