Read our interview with Gerry McGovern called "Words Drive Action". Save money and win friends by standardizing your information architecture. You are a manager of a large website that is not as effective as it should be. Sometimes, it seems like the more content published, the less effective your website becomes. Senior management won't give you the proper resources. They are driving you hard. They want measurables. They want to know what the return on investment is. Your authors don't want to create quality content. Worse, they have even less interest in adding quality metadata. Staff think your intranet is hard to navigate around, and that there's lots of out-of-date content. You don't even know what customers think of your public website. But you have a gut instinct that it could be a lot more effective.

Flying Comfortably

Read Advice Write an essay on this topic. The Best and the Worst U.S. Airports
Dec 28 '00
Over the past years, I've probably had the opportunity (or some would say disadvantage) to fly hundreds of times, mainly in the U.S. I've had some pleasant experiences and many awful experiences, but have been surprised at the differences in the condition, friendliness, and layout of airports across the nation. The following is my list of best and worst airports in America, separated by large and small airports.
Best Small Airports
Northwest Arkansas This is a brand new airport in the middle of nowhere (between Rogers and Fayetteville), but it is sparkling! I was stuck there for a few hours, but didn't mind as the huge airport bar was one of the most fun I've been in with a good selection of beers on tap, cigars, and pool tables and games.
Colorado Springs Beautiful architecture with automatic grand pianos and artwork throughout the lobby; a much cheaper and convenient alternative to Denver especially if you have business south of the city.
Ontario (CA) Much more convenient and relaxed than LAX, so consider as an option if you have business in Los Angeles; in fact, consider any of the alternative Los Angeles airports (Orange County, Long Beach, Ontario, or Burbank) instead of LAX, all of which are better and sometimes more convenient.

http://www.bio-west.com/html/brigham_city_airport.html
IO-WEST recently assisted Brigham City, Utah, in the preparation of an Environmental Assessment and Section 404 permit application for the modernization and expansion of its existing airport. The project is being completed under the guidance of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). As proposed, the project would impact 62 acres of mudflat/playa wetlands. BIO-WEST is managing a multidisciplinary team of scientists that assessed wetland functions and values following the hydrogeomorphic (HGM) approach that was developed by the Corps, FHWA, and UDOT for the Legacy Highway Project. In cooperation with the Corps and the FAA, BIO-WEST customized the highway components of the HGM model to make them more applicable to aviation issues. The HGM approach was the scientific basis for assessing wetland impacts and determining appropriate mitigation. Contracted with Brigham City Corporation. 1999-2000. Avian and aviating species at the Brigham City Airport, where BIO-WEST completed an investigation of wetland-related issues associated with proposed airport improvements. "People-to-people is what it is all about," he said from the 417 Angela St. location. "Exchanges between the people of the Untied State and the people of Cuba. The people of both countries have always had good relations and people-to-people contact will put us above politics." Cabanas, chairman and CEO of the institute, and Richard Reposa, vice president and CFO, have been licensed by the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control to promote and sponsor people-to-people educational exchange programs to Cuba through the institute. Personal Finance Smart Spending Travel Twelve romantic weekends in the West Desert scenery and gorgeous shorelines offer wonderful backdrops for romance. February 10, 2003: 12:27 PM EST By Amy Wilson, Money Magazine Staff Writer BIG SUR, Calif. (Money Magazine) - The floors creak, the doors lock only from the inside, and the walls are paper thin so whispering is the norm. If this doesn't sound appealing, it's because the strange beauty of Big Sur California's Deetjen Inn so defies description. Once the shared domain of the Hollywood elite and the boho-artist set, Big Sur remains a place where glamour and earthiness mix seamlessly and Deetjen's, you might say, is their love child. Built among the redwoods of a small canyon in the early 1930s, this eclectic assortment of rustic cabins, each unique and heated by a wood-burning stove or fireplace, quickly became a stopover for those willing to brave old Highway 1 (which used to be far more treacherous). More romantic getaways Five romantic getaways in the Northeast Four romantic getaways in the Midwest Five romantic getaways in the South Twelve romantic week-ends in the West ... Five great off-season getaways Never have I stayed in a place so charming and lovely but pinpointing the reasons is challenging. Was it the handmade quilt, soft from years of use, that made my stay so special? Or the morning light breaking through redwoods into what, by the second day, felt like home? Perhaps it was the mushroom soup we were served in the tiny dining room, made with mushrooms that had been foraged that morning. Or maybe it was just the profound quiet: Deetjen's has no phones, TVs or radios in its guest rooms, and cell phones don't work in the canyon. There are two pay phones that you're free to use but why would you want to?
