The UF Ad Society (ADS) is a professional student advertising organization and college chapter affiliate of the American Advertising Federation (AAF). Its members participate each year in the AAF National Student Advertising Competition. AAC is the college's newest minority student organization, AAC was founded in 1996 and welcomes majors from the four college departments. It is a leader among Florida's Asian student organizations. ABC is a professional student group that includes majors from all departments in the College of Journalism and Communications. Founded in 1980, ABC's major goal is to assist members with career development. It was the first minority student organization in the College, and it is a student chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). SOCIAL ACTIVITIES PUBLIC EVENTS RECREATION CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS MAKING CONNECTIONS Allegheny offers over 80 diverse clubs and organizations, giving all students the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities. All new students receive a copy of The Compass , the student handbook , when they arrive on campus in the fall. In addition, the annual Activities Fair gives new students a chance to learn about Allegheny's clubs and organizations in a relaxed, enjoyable environment. Previous Newsletters Finance Navigation Finance Home Page Overview In 1985, three TU Finance alumni, Bob Prince, Bruce Currie, and Bob Harrison, and two TU faculty members, Mark Collins and Roger Bey, met to discuss how support could be gained for the Finance Department and how the Finance Department could better serve TU’s Finance alumni and the Tulsa business community. From that meeting the concept of a Friends of Finance (FOF) organization was born. Today, FOF is an incredibly strong support group for TU’s Finance and Operations Management Department, has more than 245 dues paying members, has raised more than $500,000 for the Finance and OM Department that is managed as a Student Investment Fund (SIF), and has an Executive Speaker series of nationally prominent business and public leaders. The SIF has a market value of more than $550,000, and in 2001-2002 earnings from the SIF support 15 students on scholarship.
