  • Kathy Garner Dr. Tim Hudson Dr. David R. Kolzow Dr. Kolzow is currently the Chair of the Economic Development graduate program at The University of Southern Mississippi. He has over twenty-five years of consulting experience in site selection, real estate development planning, and community economic development. His past clients include numerous communities, states, and some of the largest land developers in the nation. Dr. Kolzow has authored a number of articles, as well as the book titled Strategic Planning for Economic Development, published by the American Economic Development Council, and Leadership: The Key Issue in Economic Development, published by the Southern Industrial Development Council in late 1990, and is being revised for publication in late 2000. Dr. Kolzow received his B.S. from Concordia College in River Forest, Illinois; his M.S. in geography from Northern Illinois University, in DeKalb; and his Ph.D. in geography from Southern Illinois University, in Carbondale. His active memberships include the American Economic Development Council, the National Council for Urban Economic Development, and the Southern Economic Development Council. He has served on the faculty of the Economic Development Institute since 1985, and teaches in Basic Economic Development Courses in Illinois, Mississippi, North Carolina, Arizona, and Alabama.

    (now a Mathematics Staff Development Specialist with the Phoenix Union High School District) Linda Fulmore is a Mathematics Staff Development Specialist with the Phoenix Union High School District. Her responsibilities include: mathematics teacher training and curriculum development as well as serving as a mathematics teacher consultant. Ms. Fulmore taught mathematics for 22 years at Central High School in Phoenix. She worked as an adjunct faculty member at Phoenix College, Paradise Valley Community College, and Mesa Community College. She also served on an Arizona State Department of Education committee to revise state mathematics standards. Ms. Fulmore is a member of several professional organizations, including the National Education Association, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), and the Arizona Association of Teachers of Mathematics (AATM). In 1996, she will make presentations at both an AATM conference and a regional NCTM conference. Ms. Fulmore earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Ball State University and the Master's degree in Education from Indiana University. She is currently pursuing the Doctor of Education degree from Northern Arizona University. "TLC was a springboard that inspired me to move on in my career," declares Ms. Fulmore. " I saw a bigger picture of the educational movement, and TLC gave me the confidence that there was more for me to do in educational reform. Shortly after TLC, I applied for my new job and began studies for my doctorate."
