So with QuickTime 6, you can author professional-quality, ISO-compliant MPEG-4 audio and video files that can be played back not only by QuickTime 6, but by any other MPEG-4-compliant player. Learn more about MPEG-4. MPEG-4 Video: The high-performance MPEG-4 video codec included in QuickTime 6 provides the highest quality results across a wide spectrum of data rates — from narrowband to broadband and beyond. http://members.tripod.com/~Gekiganger3/arislan/bios.html
All information is correct as of Arislan Senki OAV's 1-4. Some facts are obscured to prevent the reader from knowing too much before watching the actual anime which is very highly recommended. Note: Since I don't have a full understanding of Japanese, nor a complete collection of the Arislan Senki Manga, nor any translated copy of the above collection, some characters are not located within the contents of this page. Sorry! The number following each name is the OAV # that the character first appears in.

Palsians
Prince Arislan (1):
Prince Arislan has a lot in common with many of those who are acquainted with him. He and his friends are all despised by his father. While King Andragoras had wanted a bloodthirsty tyrant son to take his place if something were to ever happen to either him or the kingdom, what he got was an idealistic dreamer with an unerring passion for peace. After being one of the few Palsian survivors of the bloodbath battle that commences during the introduction, Arislan, with the help of his protector Daryoon, seeks refuge and allies to recapture the kingdom of Palse and its capital, Ekubatana. His idealistic goals influence his radical decisions (the abolition of slavery, for instance) that help some and shock many. But, his ultimate goal is the restoration of his capital and to find the whereabouts of his father.
Daryoon (1):
After being charged with treason and cowardice by the King himself just before the pivotal battle between the ultra-religious Lusitanians and the brave and courageous Palsians, Daryoon was sent by his uncle Vaphreze to look after Prince Arislan with his very own life since he was the rightful heir to the throne. Daryoon has, since then, done a very good job offering the Prince protection, advice, and complete friendship. Daryoon may be named the greatest warrior of Palse, and, very probably, the world. Defeating most ordinary soldiers as if they were mincemeat, Daryoon also battles some extraordinary warriors with almost the same amount of ease. Some might say that the only trait that surpasses his skill is his kindness and generosity.

The remoteness and isolation of the Imperial Family made it possible for the generalpublic to believe these crazy stories, but the aristocracy knew they were
http://www.alexanderpalace.org/palace/Rasputin.html
Rasputin Rasputin was born in the Tyumen district of Siberia, far away from the glittering salons in the Imperial Capital of St. Petersburg. Even today he is a shadowy and mysterious character; a person of contradictory personality traits. Was he a miracle worker or just a crafty manipulator of the Imperial Family? While he was alive, witnesses, including doctors and skeptics, concluded he possessed some inexplicable power over the Tsarevich and his deadly episodes of bleeding. This mysterious ability to heal her son was enough to convince Aleksandra that Rasputin, whatever people said of him, must have been sent by God. In her mind he was he the answer to her fervent prayers for God to save her son. It was impossible for her to believe that he could have been a wolf in sheep's clothing. His influence over politics has been greatly exaggerated. Rasputin was a convenient scapegoat for those who wanted to attack the Tsar's appointments and decisions, but who wouldn't confront Nicholas directly Rasputin was close to the Tsaritsa's closest friend
