H
ave you ever look down on a rainbow so that sunlight, beaming in from behind, shines through raindrops falling below you, you can see the whole circle rainbow. I have had the pleasure of seeing this wonderfully awesome sight. We have adopted the Circle Rainbow as the symbol for this site and what we stand for.
A s we are all unique individuals so to is each rainbow, not only unto itself but also to the each observer. A nice feature about rainbows is they are exclusively the beholder's. Because only one ray of light enters the eye from each raindrop, a different rainbow is seen from every angle. Thus, the little girl on her father's shoulders doesn't see the exact rainbow her dad sees. And attempts to bask in the earth-touching color of a rainbow will end in frustration, because walking toward a rainbow will eventually mess up the angle at which a rainbow's light reaches the eye, causing the rainbow to disappear.
T his we also believe to be true of the multiple facets of gender. While you may be able to name the colors in a rainbow red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet if you truly look you can see a blending of these colors one into another which leaves the rainbow with a color schema infinitium. Take away any of the colors within the rainbow and the remainder will not survive. So also is the spectrum of gender.

(A challenge to all who say yes)
Welcome A re you like me in that while you were raised in a God fearing environment, you knew that some truth existed in the doctrines you had become familiar with, yet at the same time it was clear that something wasn't completely right and some things just didn't add up? And, when you ask the difficult questions are you tired of being told in so many words that the height of all understanding is understanding that you don't understand? If this sounds like you, welcome home! That is, welcome to this home page for the ongoing writing of my book, Yeshua/Jesus and Judaism versus Paul and Christianity. It is my belief that in spite of the fact we as humans cannot know everything, it is absolutely necessary that we be able to make sense of what we do claim to know. What we tout as fact must add up and be consistent within itself. Solomon said; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for

Aims to reconcile christianity with accepted science. Includes complete text of John Callahan's book Science and christianity , and short articles on a selection of other topics.
http://www.faithreason.org/
Reconciling Christianity with Accepted Science The Sombrero Galaxy This ministry accepts modern science (including biological evolution and the Big Bang), a valuable, yet non-perfect Bible, and a Jesus of history, divine.
  • The evidence clearly shows Jesus to be exactly who He claimed to be: the only Son of God and as such God incarnate. God is infinite and good.
  • The Bible is the greatest book ever written. It contains the writings of great men of God who were largely inspired by Him. However, like any other document, it is not absolutely perfect, and in some places it is badly flawed.
  • The Earth is 4.5 billion years old, and life began billions of years ago with very primitive forms. These forms slowly evolved into the wide variety of plants and animals we see today.
  • The universe, though finite and created by God, is unimaginably complex and vast. It contains billions of galaxies typically composed of billions of stars; it also contains myriads of powerful spiritual beings (both good and evil), and the likelihood of other life forms similar to man.
  • True belief in Jesus involves repentance from sin and brings the personal presence and power of God into a human being's life. It also brings forgiveness, eternal life, and the solution to man's dilemma upon the Earth.

Included in this section are a wide diversity of Christian beliefs: those by religious conservatives, by religious liberals, and by Christians from the 1st and 2nd century CE
This policy distresses many of our visitors who find beliefs by other wings of Christianity unacceptable and even blasphemous.
Quotations:
" Christianity started out in Palestine as a fellowship; it moved to Greece and became a philosophy; it moved to Italy and became an institution; it moved to Europe and became a culture; it came to America and became an enterprise. " Sam Pascoe, American scholar. " Christianity is not a religion; it is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. " Anonymous posting to a Christian mailing list.
Points of concern:
As is our web site policy, we compare and contrast the beliefs and practices of very conservative with very liberal Christians. The majority of Christians probably hold beliefs that are intermediate between these two extremes. Some Christians strongly object to seeing their beliefs explained side-by-side with those of other Christians. Some are motivated to send us some
