American Civil War People Search The following requests for information were entered through the Civil War Guestbook - Can you help AmericanCivilWar.com I am looking for info on my great uncle, Hal Grant...supposedly related to Ulysses S... who fought in the Civil War. I have no idea where he enlisted, where he lived, etc. He died in California in about 1968 at around 88-90 years of age ? We have passed down through the family a surgeon's kit from the WAR which he supposedly used. I assume that means that he was a surgeon or a surgeon's helper.
