Welcome to our World Wide Home Cream City Cloggers Adult Team Milwaukee Clogging Company Youth/young adult team Beginner Classes Cream City Cloggers Established 1987 dancers 18 years old and older Established in August of 1987, this group of energetic adults named the club after the cream colored bricks found in the Milwaukee area. These dancers range in age from 18 years old and up. They have performed in numerous cities across the United States at conventions, fairs, festivals, society and club meetings, celebrations and many parades and fund-raisers. In December of 1997 they went on a nine day clogging performance tour in Paris, France and London, England. This team being the first clogging group to receive such a wonderful invitation. On January 1st 1999 they performed with the Charlie Daniels Band during the half time program of the Florida Citrus Bowl which appeared on ABC network. In June of 2001 they went on their second Europe clogging tour. This time it was an eleven day clogging performance tour of three cities in Austria. In June of 2003 we will be in Italy for a nine-day clogging tour. Milwaukee Clogging Company Established 1996 dancers 25 years old and under This clogging team was formed to provide the best of clogging for young people. The age range of this group now starts at age 6 and goes through age 24. This is a very enthusiastic group of dancers. Many of these dancers have been performing for over 14 years. They have clogged throughout Wisconsin and across the United States. In December of 1997 they went on a nine day clogging performance tour in Paris, France and London, England.

Dear Friends and Supporters, It is with regret that Rose and I announce our decision to curtail production of the Santa Fe Trails Bluegrass Festival and the Americana Weekend. Anyone who has ever produced a music festival will tell you that it's a labor of love, and that has certainly been the case with our event. We set a high standard for ourselves, however, and producing an event the size of the Americana Weekend is an expensive undertaking. Everything costs money, and after five years we just ran out. To those who showed your support by buying a ticket and attending our Festival, thanks for being part of the experience. To the many volunteers who were the face of our event, who strung the fences and mowed the grass, put up the tents and picked up the trash, thanks for believing that our Festival was worth working for. What is clogging? Clogging is a type of dance in which, in most cases, taps are affixed to the sole of the dancers shoe to emphasize the beat of the music. One might say it resembles tap dancing, but has far more variety and versatility! Originally done to old time string music, Cloggers today dance today to bluegrass, country, pop, jazz, and rap music - basically anything with a good lively beat! Besides being a lot of fun, clogging is an excellent form of aerobic excercise, a great way to meet new and exciting people from all over, and if your budget allows, it can provide opportunities to travel. How did I get started? I am glad that you asked, I actually started dancing in September of 1994, to have an activity to do with my mom. I had never danced before, and really expected to stick with it for only about 2 weeks! To my surprise, I have found clogging to be tremendous fun, and really pretty easy to pick up! I started dancing in my home town of Milan, MI, with a group called the Rumblin' Thunder Cloggers. Mom and I then began to clog with 2 other groups, The Katy-Did Cloggers in Hartland and The Tollgate Cloggers in Novi, MI, we eventually left the RTC. My mom (Beverly) and I also talked a couple of friends into starting a demo group, which we originally called Generations, because we are mom/daughter, grandmother/grand-daughter! After starting our own clogging class in Ypsilanti, MI, and aquiring new demo team members we changed our name to The Movin' On Cloggers!! Sadly though, I had to give up clogging due to a back condition. Mom continues to clog when she can and we still attend some events and parties.
