Hardware Midi controllers - Logic help needed :( Logic Audio Users Forum Written by Manuva on 04 Feb 2003 17:46:31: I'm hoping one of you clever dudes can help me. I'm using a novation A-station in my setup with Logic. I'm at my wits end - can't figure out how to record smooth filter sweeps etc. I'm aware that midi only has the "127 steps" but when i tweak the controller knobs on the A-station, logic records a stuttered version of my tweaking. MIDI data is being transmitted to logic - I've checked this. It sounds like its stuttering in 32notes when I play it back rather than being smooth. I've taken auto quantize off - just incase it was quantising my filter sweep data but that makes no difference! Also - when I view the controller data in the track automation (arrange page) there's a series of tiny dots in the controller lane bearing a slight resemblence to my sweep. I just don't get it. I'm hoping that it's not a limitation in my Logic version - it's not platinum (audio version only). I see from the spec that platinum has more midi controller functions in hyperdraw. Surely it's not a limitation in LA and I must have logic set up wrong? Please help!!
