Second Synthesis Report on the Working Conditions Situation in Cambodia's Garment Sector Third Synthesis Report on the Working Conditions Situation in Cambodia's Garment Sector Fourth Synthesis Report on the Working Conditions Situation in Cambodia's Garment Sector On 20 January 1999, the Governments of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the United States of America entered into a three-year Trade Agreement on Textile and Apparel. The Agreement sets an export quota for garments from Cambodia to the United States, while seeking to improve working conditions and respect for basic workers' rights in Cambodia's garment sector by promoting compliance with - and effective enforcement of - Cambodia's Labour Code as well as internationally recognised core labour standards. It offers a possible 14% annual increase in Cambodia's export entitlements to the United States provided the Government of Cambodia supports: "The implementation of a programme to improve working conditions in the textile and apparel sector, including internationally recognised core labour standards, through the application of Cambodian labour law" (Article 10B, US-Cambodia Textile Agreement)

Ever since the early years of homoeopathy the similarity between certain remedies and similar symptom syndromes has been recorded. Through clinical confirmations homoeopaths came to know categories of remedies that were similar to many acute and chronic disease states. There are no one-sided specifics in homoeopathy but there are homogeneous groups of remedies which are similar to the gestalt of characteristic symptoms of accidents, befallments and acute mistunements. In the case of traumas and accidents the task of finding a homoeopathic remedy is much simplified when compared with the chronic case taking methods. Why is this?

Training Activity Back to: Centurion Title Hostile Environments and Emergency First Aid at Work Training Course (HEFAT) Description The one-week course addresses a range of threats to health and safety, from such factors as diseases, health and hygiene, proliferation of weapons, known use of land mines, etc. The aim is to teach people how to identify and correctly assess risks to safety and security while living and working in areas that may be volatile, whether through political unrest, harsh climatic conditions, unfriendly governments or regimes, or a variety of other reasons. Within the course, Centurion has developed a range of Hostile Environments Training modules that convey a greater general awareness on a variety of subjects. Examples include ballistics awareness, how to react to a hostage taking, some golden rules on health and hygiene in remote areas, and the pros and cons of wearing personal protective equipment. The majority of our media, charity, and humanitarian agency clients have opted for this course, which encompasses the following hostile environments subjects, along with a great deal of emergency field first aid that assumes that definitive care is not immediately available.

Satisfactory Academic Progress ( Appeal Online
Federal Title IV student aid recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress. In order to continue to be eligible to receive assistance, undergraduates must average passing 67 percent of all hours they attempt and achieve the following cumulative grade-point averages: 1.50 GPA for 0-30 hours, 1.75 GPA for 31-60 hours, and 2.00 GPA for 61+ hours. Hours are based on the combined total hours at The University of Mississippi and other institutions. The cumulative GPA is based on course work at The University of Mississippi only. Undergraduates are no longer eligible to receive aid once they have attempted 190 total hours. Satisfactory academic progress is checked at the end of each spring semester. Students failing to meet the standard are placed on financial aid suspension beginning with the summer term. Students placed on financial aid suspension are ineligible to receive any federal student aid funds. Students who fail to maintain satisfactory academic progress may submit an appeal online to the Office of Financial Aid citing any special or mitigating circumstances they believe should be considered. Students submitting successful appeals are placed on financial aid probation and allowed to receive federal student aid for one semester. Each successful appeal includes academic requirements that must be met to receive aid beyond the one semester. Students denied aid for failure to meet these satisfactory academic progress requirements may re-establish eligibility once they meet the requirements.
