61. Forensic Science Review
forensic science Review (ISSN 10427201) is a bi-annual review journal devoted tothe timely publication of current topics in the field of forensic science.
http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Galaxy/2044/
Objectives and Scope
The discipline of forensic science has nurtured many publications oriented toward
research and case reports, also broad-based formal treatises. Rapid advances in
forensic science have created a need for a review journal to bridge the gap between
research-oriented journals and reference volumes.
The goal of Forensic Science Review is to fill this void and provide a base for
authors to extrapolate state-of-the-art information and to synthesize and
translate it into readable review articles. The addition of this journal extends the
spectrum of forensic science publications.
Articles bring into focus various narrowly defined topics whose literature has been
widely scattered. Articles are presented to stimulate further research on one hand
and worthwhile technological applications on the other. The publisher's aim is to provide forensic scientists with a forum enabling them to accomplish this goal. Technological applications based on basic research are emphasized. Articles address techniques now widely used in forensic science as well as innovations holding promise for the future.

C.S.I. -Crime Scene Investigation. From Jerry Bruckheimer , producer of such hits as Beverly Hills Cop Days Of Thunder The Rock , and Con Air , comes a great new crime show...Crime Scene Investigation. This CBS hit series is the top rated new drama of the 2000-2001 season, and the ratings for this second season are even higher! The show stars William Petersen as Gil Grissom, the head of the Las Vegas Crime Scene Investigation Unit, solving crimes from evidence most average people would never think exists. Petersen's Grissom is aided by actress Marg Helgenberger who plays Catherine Willows, George Eads as Nick Stokes, Gary Dourdan as Warrick Brown, and Jorja Fox as the new investigator Sara Sidle. The lengths investigators can go to to find the clues, and the technology that aids in the search for those clues is amazing, and because of that- this series is unstoppable excitement. You can catch CSI **Thursday at 9:00 P.M. ET./8:00 P.M. CT** on

Forensic Science: Evidence, Clues and Investigation What happened? Who did what? How? Why? These are the questions police and prosecutors must answer to solve a crime and bring the criminal to justice. Sometimes the task is relatively easy. Other times it is monumentally difficult, like reconstructing a lost language from a single sentence of text. Fortunately, police and prosecutors have a powerful ally: science. By bringing to bear on the evidence knowledge from such disciplines as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, anthropology , and psychology, forensic scientists can help investigators crack even the toughest cases. Forensic Science takes the reader on a fascinating journey through the world of evidence collection and analysis. From tried-and-true investigatory tools like fingerprinting to the cutting edge of DNA profiling, from ballistics to bite marks, from reading stories in the activities of insects to reading the stories human bones tell, this book explains forensic science techniques in terms the layperson can understand. Throughout, actual cases show theory in action and remind us that what happens in the lab has profound consequences for the many people touched by crime ISBN 0-7910-4950-7
